Islam and Homosexuality

Does anyone have an intelligent, non facetious answer for the open minded people who are here to actually learn something? Rather than simply attempting incitement and resorting to spelling corrections whenever tough questions are asked why can’t I get an honest answer?

Cause you are dealing with dishonest people?

Not at all.
As I said, I was parroting what others here constantly say.
That they cannot tell the difference between when religious books are talking about homo-rape or homo relations. You probably are one of the guys who can't tell the difference when you read either. The only reason you are offended is because I express it and you think I have ulterior motives. But the fact is that it was people on this board who acquainted me with that inability to tell the difference. Prior to that I thought the difference would be clear-cut.

The reason for the confusion is that the books do not actually talk about homosexuality, only sex between men. The main reference to it being "a bad thing" is Sodom, but that quite clearly is the desire of the men there to rape some visiting men. And the clear implication it was common practice in that town.

Sexual relations between men are neither the exclusive preserve of homosexuals, nor universally carried out by homosexuals.

I can't see condemning that sort of carry on as a bad thing at all, nor can I see anyone disagreeing. It's just that is not homosexuality.
