Is This True?

I remember reading that one of the flights involved on 9/11 had no passengers with arab names on them. Is that actually true?

Let's hope I disappear mysteriously, get a heart-attack or stroke, get some incurable disease, cancer, or poisoning, "commit suicide", die under suspicious circumstances, or end up being arrested on bogus manufactured charges.

Crews, passengers and hijackers. Only the crews and passengers were victims and were listed as such. Nobody was going to mourn the loss of the murderers who killed themselves in the furtherance of their crimes. The closest you'll get are the people who wished that the hijackers could be resurrected and killed again.

INRM, you seem to ask a lot of questions with no context. Normally other people then find a source for what you are asking about and post it within a short time of you opening the thread. It seems to me that you should be able to find that stuff just as well as anyone else. Of course there are many here who are very well read on the various claims and conspiracies and so maybe it just happens that they have the information right to hand in every case. But given you usually say you have read it somewhere I have to presume you can find it for yourself with a little effort.

I suppose what I am trying to say is that I would find your threads more helpful if you did find the source and then said something about what you have found rather than this rather lazy approach of asking odd questions with no context. It also seems to imply that you do not rate your sources in any way as to credibility and if you do that you can probably fnd the same kind of claim for anything at all, somewhere on the net.

If I open a thread with " I read somewhere that there is a fat man who comes down chimneys once a year and leaves presents for children: is this actually true" I wonder if you would take the trouble to respond to me as respectfully as others respond to you? If I followed it up with another thread which said "I read somewhere that a cat helped someone become lord mayor of london. Is that actually true?" and on and on, would you run out of patience at some point?

I am not trying to suggest that you are not really concerned with the issues you raise: but I am suggesting that you will continue to be worried (at least you seem to be worried) if you accept every possible bit of scary nonsense no matter where it comes from. I suspect you would be better served by trying to research and evaluate those claims that bother you, rather than asking others to do this work for you. That might have worked for you: but it doesn't seem to, because you just seem to get bothered by some other claim of the same type once one is dealt with. People show you time and again the kind of thing which helps one to come to a conclusion: why not learn from their methods? That might make for a better discussion, or at least I think it might

And it'd be damn polite to thank the people who went thru the effort of responding to you.

And it'd be an even more meaningful "thank you" if you acknowledge the information contained in the reference material, and state clearly how it does (or does not) change your original opinion.

Perhaps a little elaboration on the source of your original "I read somewhere ...", your current opinion of it (now that you've found out that someone may have been lying to you), any lessons learned about believing things you read on the internet uncritically ...

You know, the usual. From people who are really looking for info.

As opposed to "the usual" from drive-by truffing...

Just a suggestion.

1. This is a 2006 debunked question.
2. This was based on "Victims Lists" that were put out by CNN that did not include the Terrorists names on them.
3. Terry McDermmott and The Boston Globe have both put out since, versions of the manifests, or similar documents, which list the names of the hijackers on each plane...all planes had arab hijackers.

4. What is with the italicized lump of paranoia at the end of your post?

TAM:)

Even if it was true that there were no Arab/Muslim names on the list, does NOT mean that there were no Arab/Muslim people on the plane. Today I received a phonecall from someone who said their name was Paul Davies with a very strong Indian/Pakistani accent - do you think that was their true name?
It's very easy to give a fake name & very easy to get away with it if you have a nondescript accent & fake documents.

I was told, when I was a child, that if I drank Coca-Cola before going to bed then the bubbles would go into my brain in the middle of the night and make my head explode.

Is this true?

He also asks questions that he could answer for himself within a few minutes. It's like he doesn't know how to do even the simplest form of research. His questions are an absolute waste of time for everyone else.

Yes, the Welsh and Indian accent sound the same.

dude...what is wrong with you?

do you want everyone at JREF to think you are paranoid delusional?

this is the logical conclusion of such a post. not saying that you are, but one might come to such a conclusion.

Anyone else notice he forgot the word "don't" in between "hope" and "I"?

Slip of the keyboard or martyr complex, INRM?

Hmm, I knew the answer would be no even before opening the thread. Would that qualify for the MDC? I could use the money. (hint.)

I noticed the "manifests" page on 911myths was getting lots of hits from a French page, took a look & noticed this issue had come back to life again.

Essentially some French figure had dismissed a truther, pointing to my page and saying it explained everything, so this truther site figured it was time to try a debunking.

From what I could make out (there was no English version), they were defending Griffin's use of the CNN lists, while attempting to dismiss everything else - McDermott's lists, the Boston Globe manifest and Moussaoui trial exhibits - on the grounds that they hadn't been authenticated to their exacting standards.

And so this issue is becoming a perfect illustration of the lop-sided standards of proof required by truthers. It's apparently perfectly okay for Griffin to pretend the CNN lists are complete official manifests, even though the site unambiguously tells us they are not; however if anyone else presents something that is described as a manifest, it's simply hand waved away.

And to think some truthers wonder why we question their honesty and integrity. Too funny, indeed.
