I wouldn't be surprised if Abby Martin has perhaps reconsidered some of her previous statements. My sense is that people tend to surround themselves with others who they essentially agree with and this isolates them from other views. Perhaps upon joining RT she felt compelled to attempt objectivity and was exposed to some different thinking and decided to pull back on her position. One wonders of the management simply told her being a strong advocate for 9/11 truth would undermine her credibility and so she held her views but zipped it up. Clearly RT is trying to reach a wider audience albeit has a wider audience and wants to be taken seriously. As such radical views about 9/11 are still considered not facts, but opinions, theories and yet to be proven (if even) assertions... which truthers want others to believe, RT has chosen not to promote what it can't prove as fact. The alternative is to present it as a debate of the two sides and the truther one is quite radical and transgressive for a large media outlet in the US. It seems to be covered more like a group of impassioned individuals who believe the facts are on their side... but the presentations don't measure up. They advance the usual slur against the media... high paid shills hired to lie. While they could be liars, being well paid does not make someone a liar.
Has anyone actually asked Abby Martin for her current position on the matter?
