Is the woman in these photos Obama's mother?

Apparently there's some claims on the internet that Obama's mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, appeared in some racy adult magazine photos, supposedly taken at the home of Frank Marshall Davis. I honestly don't care, even if it's true. (And this isn't about the theory that Frank Marshall Davis is Obama's real father.)

Has this been debunked anywhere?

I see pictures of a woman who vaguely resembles Obama's mother, but I have no idea if this is really the same woman. No way to tell if the pictures were actually taken at the home of Frank Marshall Davis.

Personally, I'm pro-porn, so if this is true it doesn't make me think she's a bad person. I realize that a lot of other sexually repressed people would be Shocked! Shocked! by this. It's actually rather tame stuff by today's standards.

The Bizarre Life #9 issue would have been out in ~1957 or so (judging by the release scheduled implied at http://30sg.com/catalog/12 ), a full 2 years before the Dunham family moved to Hawaii in the first place.

But let's be bloody honest, this is just another smear job on the President's late mother, who isn't in a position (nor is Frank Marshall Davis) to sue the living daylights out of the producer of this piece of crap.

Apparently this has been out there for a while, but I wouldn't have heard of it except for articles in Slate and The Daily Beast (both critical of the movie). A thread by little 'ol me in the Conspiracy Theories forum of the JREF forum is hardly going to do much to spread the meme compared to the coverage in these mainstream news sites.

This reminds me of a Maddow show where some republican idiot was spreading rumors of a rival being gay...when interviewed, he said "gee, I don't think he's gay...have you heard he is gay?, well, I certainly don't think he is gay".

The above is somewhat paraphrased, but the idiot did repeat the word "gay" about 5 times in as many sentences....the idea being that repetition somehow makes idiotic rumors become "true".

But whats the point of the post. You have made no effort to debunk it, admitted you dont care about the issue, and if even true it wont change your vote. So other than a reason to post a few mild fetish images what is the point of the thread.

That seems like an important piece of evidence to me.

Beyond that, I really don't know how to disprove it conclusively based on available information.

It is also true that sometimes two different people can look remarkably similar. That's another reason to doubt it's actually the same person.
