Is Obama dumbing down America?

Obama is creating a generation of people that can't read or write.

Tahanks Obammma!

By Bradlee Dean

Let me say this plainly: This president is not failing; he is succeeding! He knows exactly what demographic he should go to; the older generation has not yet figured out this method. He is going to the younger generation where the real battle is being waged, and that is where America must go if we are to win the future.

A recent poll out from the Washington Examiner stated that President Barack Hussein Obama is seen as America’s biggest “failure” among modern presidents.

A failure?

Oh, how little the American people know about the history of tyrants and dictators like Mao Zedong, Adolf Hitler, etc.
Interesting. So....the President that didn't lead American into a near great depression and at least one completely screwed up war is the biggest failure.

That is just so interesting. But is also just the setup for this:

For example: It was not too long ago that I heard many in the older age demographic saying they believed that this president made a huge mistake because he had so many people on government entitlement programs. Little did they realize that this was not a failure on the behalf of this president and his criminal administration, it was a total success.

He needed dependents; therefore, he created dependents.
And....Obama did this....how???? Did he conspire to create terrible economic conditions that would lead so many people to unemployment and then desperation?

Was this a failure on his behalf, or a success? Who are a good majority of the dependents? I’ll tell you who they are: the up-and-coming generation.
So....the people that found themselves unemployed and unable to find new work.

What would you say if I told you that over 700,000 of the up-and-coming generation graduating from public schools in America each year cannot even read there own [sic] high school diplomas? This, in fact, is true. They cannot.
Is Obama also responsible for his detractors not knowing which "their/there/they're" to use?

Is this a failure or a success on the behalf of those who wish to stupefy the next generation (Hosea 4:6)? Of course … a success!
And....just how did Obama get all those young people to not learn how to read? Surely they started school when he was just a senator so....did this Obama conspiracy to create an illiterate population start back then? If so then how did the George W Bush administration not spot it and expose it?

In fact has the literacy rate changed much over the past couple of decades or is this all entirely in the imagination of Bradlee Dean?

Oh, so the conspiracy actually started when Reagan/George H.W. Bush were in charge!

We are through the looking glass people!

Some background on this gentleman. He's the one that has those terrible high school assemblies and the one who delivered that opening prayer in Minnesota that was condemned by Democrat and Republican alike. A favorite of Michell Bachmann and groups like Focus on the Family, he's still not representative of Republicans in general.

Some quotes from Wikipiedia. The first about the assemblies.

The organization has been at the center of multiple controversies for its school performances, many revolving around its presentation of religious material in public educational settings.[22] During an assembly at Pequot Lakes High School in 2007, students were shown graphic images of aborted fetuses and girls were made to chant about being submissive to their husbands. The assembly made students cry and angered parents.[7] A 2005 Arkansas assembly resulted in the principal later asserting that the group had "misrepresented" its "right-wing message" and that the group "won't be back".[7] A Wisconsin principal, whose school was visited in 2003, later called a second assembly to apologize to the students for allowing YCRBYCHI a forum for "brainwashing" a "captive audience".[7] A Tennessee principal also apologized to students in 2004 "for any controversy or heartache the assembly generated".[6]

The second about the prayer.

In May 2011 Dean was invited to deliver a prayer [36] in front of the Minnesota House of Representatives. He was criticized by members of both parties for the prayer, largely due to the direct references to Jesus and perceived accusations against Democrats and President Obama. His history of statements against homosexuality, though not part of the prayer, also elicited complaints. His address was criticized by Minnesota Democratic–Farmer–Labor Party (DFL) representative Terry Morrow, who said that the hope of peace during the prayer had been "crushed by a single person's words." Majority Leader Matt Dean and speaker Kurt Zellers, both Republicans, also denounced Bradlee Dean; Zellers said inviting him to speak had been "a mistake", called him "a man I personally denounce," and said "I can only ask you for your forgiveness ... That type of person will never, ever be allowed on the House floor again." Representative Ernie Leidiger, a Republican who had invited Dean to speak in the first place, later apologized for the invitation and compared Dean's position on homosexuality to that of Nazi Germany. Dean was also denounced by the Minnesota Catholic Conference and DFL representatives Karen Clark and D. Scott Dibble, both openly gay; Clark called Dean "a hateful person".[37] In June 2011, presidential candidate Michele Bachmann was sprayed with glitter in Minnesota by a gay-rights activist who was upset with Bachmann's support of YCRBYCHI.[38]

He's not a reputable person, yet he does have some support.

These incessant threads quoting insignificant fringe knuckleheads who are saying unkind things about the Obama are certainly dumbing down this forum.

How do you people even find this garbage?

Why be interested in politics at all!?! Why not just vote for the candidate with the funniest name!?!

I have an interest in what the opposition thinks. So I go looking for what they are talking about. Often I find things like this and...I just....must....share.

You seem to spend an inordinate amount of time focussing on the oddballs and fringe dwellers. If you really want to understand and take an interest in the opposition, why not try and argue against Milton Friedman for example?

You did make me LOL (and prove you're a good sport) with "outrage #368".

False dichotomy.
(you know better)

But in what way does this kook represent what the opposition thinks?

The Lee Bright thread was appropriate because he actually wants to run for national office.

Furthermore, you found this guy's quotes on WND. Really?! Why the **** would anything published in WND be worthy of discussion in the JREF politics subforum?

...............

If you want to discuss U.S. politics, then start as many threads as you like.

If you want to merely provide your comments on the fringey-est of the right-wing fringe, then perhaps a blog might be a better medium for you.

............
please note, the question marks were not rhetorical.

Exactly! Why would anyone go to these partisan sites and bring back these silly articles to this site?

Seems like it just angries up the blood.

I don't find the views quoted by the OP to be any less crazy than many comments that have come from mainstream GOP party members.

I think it serves the purpose of showing that the craziness runs from top to bottom in the party.

I think GWB single handedly set America back 20 IQ points.

If you flood the place with partisan boot-lickers posting the most asinine fringe lunatic rantings about their beloved, you hope to mis-direct attention away from legitimate criticism.

One of the sad results of this blind partisanship is that by insulating your Dear Leader from any constructive criticism, you make him ever more reckless and stupid instead of becoming something the country could ultimately look back upon with historic pride.

It is your own people that should be keeping you honest, keeping you sharp as a razor by facing pointed criticism, and making sure you do not drift into the arrogance of despotism.

I thought Bush was some kind of historic watermark for his war crimes and epic disgraceful stupidity. But I came to accept it was not Bush but rather the American people who were the problem.

Blind, stupid partisanship is a pox on this country.

Maybe, maybe not. If you want focus put on legitimate criticism of Obama, which there certainly is a fair bit of, then bring up the actual criticism. Poking fun at illegitimate criticism is hardly off limits, though, I would think, regardless of the source of the illegitimate criticism or the focus.
