Funny, I know many of both heritages that would say "one drop is too much, and half ain't near enough" Personally, I've never met a race I much cared for (white, black, yellow or red), but I have met a lot of people that have demonstrated that they could rise above their ancestral baggage and be solid and responsible citizens, family and friends, regardless of superficial physical traits.

Obama has made at least one history for US Presidents--that both white and black can be absolutely untrustworthy enemies of the Constitution, free speech, Government transparency, anti-warmongering, etc. His impact on our country won't be because of his skin color, it'll be because of his political party and self-aggrandizement, which is bolstering all the fascist measures of the Bush Administration and beyond in order to promote his power.

Figured I would bump this to point out that on Bill Maher's most recent show Neil deGrasse Tyson made the point I have been making for years that Obama is just as white as he is black.

Of more importance to me, he is as much conservative as he is liberal (neither of which is a positive thing).
