Certainly entropy is misunderstood, as it is not defined in terms of order or disorder.

Although I agree with you I would like to qualify that by adding "in physic" in your sentence, as other field like information theory associate entropy with other measurement (like uncertainty on a piece of info, see this wiki for example : entropy in IT or even old def of entropy using order/disorder).
