I love the way organised religion seems increasingly out of touch and irrelevant almost by the day.
Interestingly he blames the church's failure to indoctrinate people sufficiently.

He's just mad that same-sex Catholic spouses can't be guilted into accidental procreation of hundreds of millions of tithers the way opposite-sex Catholic spouses have been for centuries.

Well, we have this fellow predicting a big meteor wiping out the country in September.

Turns out that if we had all done what he told us to and voted for forcing the gays to "turn their sex over to god" we'd have been spared.

Me, I think it'll burn up in the atmosphere and end up being no bigger than a chihuahua's head.

Ah, Ulster. The only place in the where gay marriage is not lawful is the part of Ulster within the UK. The only place to vote against it in the Republic us the part of Ulster in that country.

Actually, Roscommon and Leitrim are in Connaught, not Ulster.

Two Constitutional challenges to the Referendum have been dismissed with costs awarded against the plaintiffs.
 
On a related note, Northern Ireland has (for the third time) failed to legalise same-sex marriage.
This is despite the support of both a majority of the populace (64% link) and a majority of members of the NI Assembly (link).
