Interview with 7/7 survivor

Thanks Jon and 8den! I am really, really looking forward to hearing the new programme. I wonder if Shayler will be tuning in?

Judging by his recent Glasto performance, I sincerely doubt Ol' David's receptor is tuned into anything approximating reality.

Hello and thank you for the kind remarks about my blog, stalker/conspiraloon-battling etc. I have lurked here for a few weeks and thought today might be a good day to join. As I have a deadline and so my procrastination needs are working overtime. I have a particular interest in debunking 7/7-fruitbattery woo, as I find them not only tiresome, but quite scary7. For reasons which I will no doubt rant on about at length later

Rachel

Greetings Rachel. By somewhat of a coincidence, I am the London chap who ever so often sends you an email commending your stand against conspiracy theories.

Please stick around. We will be more than happy for you to join us.

As long as we're plugging other people's stuff, then I reckon Jon's book Them deserves another shout out. Anyone who hasn't read it already really should. I read it again recently, and it's a fascinating glimpse into the landscape of pre 9/11 nutjobbery.

Welcome Rachel. I was 45 miles away that day, so nothing to do with me at all, but these CTers make me quite ill. I don't know how you've kept going, but you're an example to us all.

Rolfe.

I'd like to add my welcome too.

I was actually in London that day - had just arrived the day before (from Toronto) for a visit. It made the rest of the visit ... interesting. Not the sort of memento I want, though. (That was the third close association with a terrorist incident: I left Washington on Sept. 10, 2001, and was actually in the airport in the Canary Islands when the bomb was set off that lead to the Tenerife disasterWP, where two 747s collided. On vacation both times.)

Welcome all ... I must admit I found Danny Biddle's story about what happened on 7/7 particularly shocking...

...a few of the posters here also commented on Jon's interview with Rachel and Shayler on that thread, from my point-of-view he (Shayler) is, without a doubt, the most annoying and despicable conspiracy theorist in the public eye at the moment.

Hi Rachel! Your story was very inspiring, especially the part where you expressed your determination to get back on the Tubes (in rather colorful language, I might add)!

Can you please make sure and warn us when you are travelling so we know to stay home? :D

I heard the TAL episode yesterday. Great stuff. It should be on the website now: thisamericanlife.org.

Listening to it now. Terrific job by Jon and Rachel! I am particularly pleased at the part where Jon lets his outrage show. You can download an MP3 of the interview by right-clicking here and choosing "Save As". I love that Shayler mentions that he thinks Rachel is mentally disturbed. Pot, meet kettle. Rachel and Jon's segment begins about nine minutes in.

EDIT: nevermind I quoted and responded to something posted more than a week ago regarding a link to a website that has expired content.

*jedi-mind-trick*This is not the post you're looking for...

Welcome Rachel!
