Because 0 is actually a number and infinity is not a number, I'd say n is closer to 0.

Why bring "theoretical considerations" into it? The 3 spatial dimensions and time are all well established as observational facts.
 
A number of things, but the fact that gravitation by theory must vary per the inverse square law in this universe is one.

Three flavors of neutrinos (by theory) agreeing so far with observation is another.
