influenza's achilles heel?

Like I said. You can't say that this flu or any other is comparable to any cold. Look at the death and hospitilization rates, and you'll see why. Some people get mild flu, but not everyone-that's for darn sure. And these fevers that come and go are driving me crazy. Is my kid better yep. Nope. Now? Nope. Further complications could be on the way, and going broke is not making me happy either. All could have been avoided if we got the vaccine on time, so I'm angry. We don't know what strain it is. They don't test cases here. The doc just says it looks like the flu, but can't be 100% positive since they are not testing it. They just separate you from the rest of the people in the waiting room. Flu cases on this side, non-flu over there. I'm not going back unless either child shows any signs of shortness of breath. My son is hacking stuff up as we speak, and I'm hoping that means it's coming up and coming out, and not coming back.

I send you my best wishes, in order for you and your family to be ok. I'm worried about my family too, it will be four months of precautions, hope and desire for the vaccine. What I have read is that H1N1 can be as moderated as a simple cold, nope, I don't have references at hand and so the post that only you answered was geared towards listening to others opinions/information.

Why some people's life's are in danger and some others have the flu and barely notice it is unknown, and this is one of the reasons I made this thread.
