IndoctriNATION movie

I'm just glad you get to have it your way.

What does that mean?

--You (logger) don't get to have it your way because once you're convinced that you have to be afraid of God, you have to believe all the rest to keep God from punishing you, but Toontown can think freely without that fear? But you're having it your way too, just a different way. No one is forcing you to be afraid of God.

--You're glad that Toontown will get to have it his own wway, because that means, according to your belief, Toontown will suffer endless torture and you can gloat? But there's no guarantee; you could discover that Zeus was very angry you didn't worship him.

--Something else?

He could discover (too late) that the whole sordid story is a trick perpetrated by Supergod as a test. Whoever worships the false lunatic god of the bible fails the test.

Rogue, first of all, if you don't believe in his sacrifice, I not sure you're really a Christian.

The reason for Jesus's sacrifice is the central part of the Bible and is laid out in many ways. From the beginning to the end it tells about his coming with the culmination of his final sacrifice to atone for mans sin. Not covering sin with animal sacrifice, but true complete forgiveness.

There is only one reason for his sacrifice and that is because the penalty for sin is death.

Or I did believe until I learnt more and now I realize it's ridiculous.

According to your expressed beliefs, ToonTown is going to burn in Hell for eternity.

You being glad of it means you are a monster.

At least Christians who say they pity the unbeliever who will suffer for eternity, are displaying certain amount of humanity. Logger does not.

I thought the thread was about some terrible documentary, I am certain it is not about logger nor strawman you construct out of his posts.

Actually, logger has already established logger has 'the grace of god' to worship as logger sees fit, accepting and rejecting parts of the Bible that suit logger's sensibilities. No getting it 'your way' there, no sirree.

While logger gets it logger's way (calling it god's way), we are criticized for doing it our way. The actual criticism is that we are not doing it logger's way.

What does that mean?

It means we get to choose. God does not force us, he invites us, sadly our own sinful hearts push us to go it alone.

Being in the light means there is no fear. What does Toontown get to do that I don't?
Thinking freely?
Seems to me my relationship with the all knowing God frees me to think as he, to be more like him as I grow closer.

Hmm, interesting that is how you look at it. Witnessing for Christ is the exact opposite, spreading the good news of salvation is my purpose. Toontown being separated from God for eternity is total defeat for me, it is the worst that can happen. I don't want that for anyone. He is choosing it for himself, all I can do is tell people about Christ and what he's done for me.

Too late for what?

If you're correct, you and I lose nothing.

You can't really have it both ways, I'm glad God gave us the choice as it seems to open the eyes of some very special people, I am sad many do not believe but I'm also glad God did it this way. You want to spit in Gods face then bitch at him for not taking it.

What parts am I picking and choosing?

How am I criticizing you?

I get criticized and called a monster because I accept your right to reject God and I'm criticized for saying people should get to know Jesus and believe upon him. (forcing my way upon them)

Remember this?

Keyword being worship, putting up a tree with Jesus on top is worshiping him the way I like, thanks for trying to make it say something else.

I suppose the pagan part is lost once its Jesus your celebrating.

Fine. You rationalize, I hear picking & choosing.

The fear has to be taught first, then a chance to get out of hell sounds great. But without that initial fear, there's no need to worry about displeasing a nonexistant God.
