OK. I'm having difficulty remembering that specific scene in "On the Beach". Is it the one where Fred Astaire asks Gregory Peck if he can spread some suntan lotion on his back? And then Tony Perkins shows up?

They're the black bloc idiots. Calling them protesters is a mischaracterization as they're just rioters for anarchy's sake. They would have been there doing to the same idiocy regardless of who won. There's going to be an unhealthy synergy between the Trump admin and these morons because they were made for each other.
 
Those demonstrations are eerily reminiscent of Nixon's "Counter-Inaugural", in which I took part - and not necessarily peaceably.

I guess it's not surprising that my point of view is different after about a half century. IOW, I'm conflicted - I can't approve of lawless behavior, but I understand the motivation.

Erm...As a fan of submarine movies and post-apocalyptic flicks, I've seen On the Beach a few times. I've even seen that godawful remake with Armand Assante.

I don't recall any sodomizing, though.
