Congressional hate for atheism:

Isn't it ironic that they claim that atheism is barbaric when they spew this kind of hateful rhetoric, especially when it's kept permanently in the congressional records.

I'll agree with you that Rep. Franks is way off base. I just wanted to point out that the Congressional Record is not permanent - senators and representatives have the power to alter, delete, and add things to the official Congressional Record.

Never got that "logic."

If I don't believe there is any other life than this one, why in the world would I want to shorten it in any way whatsoever?

Sorry if this seems like a silly question, but which The Times? US, UK, New York, etc... The Times is a common name for a lot of papers. :D

Thats the fun part, had to laugh, except that christianity actually allow you in to heaven if you regret your sins before you die.

We all know that priests have that inside information while sinners are told this just before they die. :D
