As to your first, if Wright made all these statements regularly don't you think there would be more than 30 seconds worth of tape for them to play over and over considering he has been preaching for 30+ years?
Here's a ABC News report on Wright showing the GDing sermon.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=36T1fnIafC0
It then shows Obama saying he doesn't think his church is particularly controverial. But next, it has this: "an ABC News review of more than a dozen sermons which are offered for sale by the church found Reverend Wright going far beyond issues of Africa. He refers to the US as under the influence of the Klu Klux Klan (it then shows a video clip of Wright calling America the "US of KKK"), he regularly mocks black republicans as sell outs (it then shows a video clip of him putting them down). In his first sermon after September 11, 2001, Reverend Wright said the US had brought on the attack with it's own terrorism. It then shows a clip of Wright castigating the US for bombing Hiroshima, Nagasaki, saying "we nuked far more than the thousands in New York and the Pentagon and we never batted an eye. We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans and now we are indignant? Because the stuff we have done overseas is now brought back into our own front yard. America's chickens are coming home to roost."
Sorry, but it sure looks like extreme beliefs pervaded his sermons.
Fox News agrees. After looking at hours of tape (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=617eK2XIaLk&feature=related ). They show him not only talking about the statements already mentioned above but saying things like "the government lied about Pearl Harbor"; "We've got a paranoid group of patriot's in power, that now, in the interests of homeland stupidity"; "Fighting for peace is like raping for virginity"; "black men turning on black men, that's fighting the wrong enemy. You both are the primary targets in an oppressive society that sees both of you as a dangerous threat"; "what we are doing is the same thing al-Qaeda is doing under a different color of flag"; "and guess what else? If they don't find them some weapons of mass destruction, they gonna do just like the LA PD and plant them some weapons of mass destruction"; "we have got to change the way we've been doing things as an arrogant, racist, military superpower"; "we believe God sanctioned the rape and robbery of an entire continent, we believe God ordained african slavery, we believe God makes europeans superior to africans and superior to everybody else". All from the pulpit. All that in just the couple hours of tape that was reviewed.
Sorry, but it sure looks like extreme views pervaded Wright's sermons.
Here's another video clip of Wright at the pulpit:

In it he says "who cares what a poor black man has to face every day in a country and a culture controlled by rich white people. ... snip ... Jesus was a poor black man who lived in a country and that lived in a culture that was controlled by rich white people. The romans were rich. The romans were italians, which means they were europeans which means they were white ... snip ... it just came to me in the last few weeks y'all why so many folks are hating ol' Barrack Obama. He doesn't fit the model. He ain't white. He ain't white. He ain't rich. He ain't privileged. Hillary fits the mold. Europeans fit the mold. Guilianni fits the mold. ... snip ... I am sick of negros that just don't get it. ... snip ... Barrack knows what it means to be living in a country and a culture that is controlled by rich white people. ... snip ... Hillary ain't had to work twice as hard as the rich white folk who rule everything or to get a passing grade when you know you are smarter than that C student sitting in the WhiteHouse. Oh I am so glad that I got a God who knows what it is to be a poor black man in a country and a culture that is controlled by and run by rich white people. He taught me, Jesus did, how to love my enemy. Jesus taught me how to love the hell out of my enemies. And not be reduced to their level of hatred, bigotry and small mindedness."
Sorry but it sure looks like extreme views pervaded Wright's sermons.
This is not a small subset of carefully selected sermons. It's the results from a small SAMPLING of sermons. Sort of like a poll based on a random sampling of voters ... say everyone that comes to a particular coffee shop on a given day. Fox indicated they got hours of this sort of stuff and ABC News indicated that they found these after examining only a dozen or so sermons. This sampling suggests Wright spent a lot of time pushing his extreme beliefs.
One wonders what outrageous things Wright said in the tapes the church didn't want to sell to the public. Afterall, this is a church that gave a "lifetime achievement award" to Louis Farrakhan for his "commitment to truth, education and leadership". Do you know what Farrakhan considers the "truth"? He called Judaism a "gutter religion". "Hitler was a very great man." "White people are potential humans, they haven't evolved yet." Oh yes, this church was a big believer in *truth*.
Here's another reason to think those videoclips were standard fare at the church.

Jeremiah Wright's 'Trumpet'
... snip ...
To the question of the moment--What did Barack Obama know and when did he know it?--I answer, Obama knew everything, and he's known it for ages. Far from succumbing to surprise and shock after Jeremiah Wright's disastrous performance at the National Press Club, Barack Obama must have long been aware of his pastor's political radicalism. A careful reading of nearly a year's worth of Trumpet Newsmagazine, Wright's glossy national "lifestyle magazine for the socially conscious," makes it next to impossible to conclude otherwise.
Wright founded Trumpet Newsmagazine in 1982 as a "church newspaper"--primarily for his own congregation, one gathers--to "preach a message of social justice to those who might not hear it in worship service." So Obama's presence at sermons is not the only measure of his knowledge of Wright's views. Glance through even a single issue of Trumpet, and Wright's radical politics are everywhere--in the pictures, the headlines, the highlighted quotations, and above all in the articles themselves. It seems inconceivable that, in 20 years, Obama would never have picked up a copy of Trumpet. In fact, Obama himself graced the cover at least once (although efforts to obtain that issue from the publisher or Obama's interview with the magazine from his campaign were unsuccessful).
You really should read the rest of the above link. It might open your eyes regarding Wright and this church ... and Obama's deceptiveness in this matter.
Also Obama may have been too busy with his career and then his campaign to pay attention to what was going on at his church.
In point of fact, Obama back in 2004 claimed he was a regular church go'er.

At 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 27, 2004, when I was the religion reporter (I am now its religion columnist) at the Chicago Sun-Times, I met then-State Sen. Barack Obama at Café Baci, a small coffee joint at 330 S. Michigan Avenue in Chicago, to interview him exclusively about his spirituality. Our conversation took place a few days after he'd clinched the Democratic nomination for the U.S. Senate seat that he eventually won. We spoke for more than an hour. He came alone. He answered everything I asked without notes or hesitation.

GG:
Do you still attend Trinity?
OBAMA:
Yep. Every week. 11 oclock service.
And what about his wife and kids? Presumably they went to church regularly and heard at least some of these sermons, too. Or are you now claiming they didn't either? Or if they did, did they fail to tell Barack about what they heard? Why would they do that? Open your eyes, AusAmerican. You are being taken for a fool by the Obama campaign.
