I'm very pleased to let everyone know that I'll be the Master of Ceremonies at TAM 5.5!

Hal couldn't make it so they asked me. Obviously, they just wanted someone funny this year. I'm can't wait to head down to Florida (especially given the weather here in Boulder the past few weeks) and get in the hot tub with everyone and see everyone again!
 
This requires a big overhaul of my peanut gallery mentality, which was anticipating responding to Hal.

I hope I can get that done in only three weeks! I would hate for anyone to be disapointed. :moose: :D

While at TAM,point to a star and ask what which star it is.

If the he answers that it is really a galaxy and launches into a twenty minute lecture on that particular galaxy and how to tell the difference between galaxies, stars, globular clusters and planets, that will be Phil Plait.

If the reply is that it isn't really a star, but merely an illusion created with a hairbrush, duct tape, and a piece of Stilton cheese, that will be Richard Wiseman.
 
We all know the only reason you're MCing is to shamelessly plug your new book!!
 
This means I'm going to be running into BA three times in 2008: TAM 5.5, TAM 6 (I assume) and on the Galapagos trip. Is it possible to have too much Phil on your plate? [bada bump!]
