If you don't read, where do you find information?

PS

Kitty -- Check out audible.com. There you can download all kinds of good stuff. Including Car Talk! Years of it! Yay :D

Ohhhh! Good site!

Yeah, it's a good thing she can't read, or I'd go broke buying her books! :D

Now I gotta download stuff!

Im a troll cause I dont follow the popular "TV....baaaaaaaaaad" line?? I just figure Im just more open minded. I see TV as a tool, just like books. More of an evolution of books. Its a way for people to comunicate ideas. And its getting better. With cable and on demand TV has become more specialized........just like books.

Theres no need to have a bad attitude towards TV. It has advantages that books do not. Could you raelly experince the intense emotions of 9/11 through a book????

By the way I do read the newspaper rather quickly. While i sit on the pot in the morning.:p

No, because you are calling me a snob and a bigot, and all but called me a liar.

You can love TV all you want, but don't assume people who don't like it are simply putting on airs and trying to seem smart. Many people dislike TV because it's pretty crappy. It's good you've found a pastime you enjoy, but don't expect me to think much of it.

Well lets say you became king of all TV. How would you change it to make TV good?

A whole channel of 24 hours a day of "The Secret Life of Machines".

I loved that show. I wish I had it on tape. It explained to me, the non scientific thinker how THINGS work. I was explaining to someone about how vacuum cleaners work, and the history of them. Why they were invented and all that (because sweeping was considered dangerous).

They were totally impressed. Yeah, 24 hours a day.

I am the King of all TV in my house. It only comes on when I've rented a movie. That's only about 6 hours a week, tops. That pretty much eliminates all the advertising.

Kitty-- you'll probably love this site: www.howstuffworks.com

Honestly, what it comes down to, is that you almost always (with PBS being a notable exception) have to pay for good TV, and bad TV comes bundled with it. Grrrr! :book:
