Prévention du sida | Dans le cadre d’une campagne de prévention contre le sida, l'église catholique de Lucerne distribue depuis lundi des préservatifs devant la gare de Lucerne. Elle risque de s’attirer les foudres du Vatican.

During an AIDS prevention campain, the catholic church in Lucerne, Switzerland, is distributing condoms. They suspect the Vatican might be unhappy about it.

«Le préservatif n’est pas un remède miracle dans la prévention contre le sida, mais une possibilité parmi d’autres», a indiqué lundi Florian Flohr, responsable de la communication auprès de l’Eglise catholique de Lucerne. «Celui qui n’en parle pas en abordant le thème du sida agit contre l’éthique».

"Condoms aren't a miracle cure against AIDS, but one of the possibilities", said F. Flohr, speaking for the Lucern catholic church. "Those who don't mention it while talking about AIDS are acting contrary to ethics".

I guess we're in for a pretty funny show between the various dioceses in Switzerland, not to mention the Vatican.
