I do not understand?

Oddly enough, I've come across Christians who claim GW is a ....yes...Sign of the Times!

I disagree. I think if God in his great wisdom thought that free market capitalism and accumulation of physical wealth was wrong, he wouldn't have created the great nation that we know as the US of A. God doesn't like slackers or commies. :jaw-dropp
 
I think this is a correlation, not a cause.

I think, that the sort of person who would most likely be a fundamentalist Christian especially in the USA, would be more likely to be against AGW, statistically speaking. I don't think its anything to do with being Christian, just that the group would more likely be denialist who also hate commies, socialists, Muslims, dykes, and queers.
 
I know AGW skeptics who have no particular religious beliefs. A lot of issues are getting rolled together in order to make this Republican base seem more cohesive than it is. For plenty of people the fact that a Democrat believes it is reason enough to believe the opposite.

In that Shirkus link ... he believes Genesis is true - however he also refers to the age of the dinosaurs. He cites 800 ppm (carbon? carbon dioxide? I couldn't tell) in the age of the dinosaurs - could people actually breathe that stuff? Since God created man first the dinosaurs had to come afterward. The velociraptors must have been hell on the ark ... unless they'd already become extinct?

This video clip comes from a panel discussion which included Q&A - I would have liked to have seen that. Do these guys ever put themselves in a position to be challenged?
