Lefty, I think he has access to a few helicopters. ;)

Have any of his choppers the range to get him to a country that would not like to see him dead? I don''t think any of the bordering countries want to risk a punitive expedition of pissed-off irregulars crossing their borders to snatch him back.

The helicopters I suggest he has access to could get him to an airport (or an airfield with a military transport, for example AN-12 Cub)

without having to drive through sniper infested territory, as you suggested in your post. ;)

An AN 12 Cub is the Soviet Equivalent to a C-130 Hercules, or perhaps we could call it a slavish copy. ;)

EDIT: Whoops, looks like Cub isn't in Libyan AOB, more likely an AN-26. Sorry.

He will die of old age in Saudi Arabia - assuming the House of Saud does not fall in this current climate of discent.

Aziz's head on a stick would be the perfect Christmas stocking stuffer for me

Geni's note about the 32d is one worth considering, but I agree with you on one point. Being Ghadaffi's logistic's chief about now has got to be an insanely difficult job.

Yes but if serious shooting starts the rebels will if anything be worse off. The economy will shut down which since they need imported food is a bit of a problem. On ther other hand while the forighen back accounts of gaddafi type leaders tend to be overstated I bet gaddafi has enough liquid cash on hand to continue to buy stuff in for a while at least.

Saudi's really don't like him and you wouldn't have to be that paranoid to conclude that Ben Ali's stroke suggests that Saudi Arabia may not be the safest place around for former leaders.

Egypt is apparently accomodating some of the rebel wounded and dispalced families. They didn't much like Daffy when he was hot stuff. I am sure they would allow the use of their air space to fly food into Benghazi or Tobruk. I can't imagine anyone being too eager to land or dock in Tripoli right about now.
