How will Dems personally destroy Marco Rubio?

Well, from the deep pool of information that is Wiki, I see three possibilities:

Rubio currently attends Christ Fellowship, a evangelical Protestant Church in West Kendall, Fla., where he has attended for the last six years. However, Rubio has been been baptized, confirmed, and married in the Catholic Church
Not much here. McCain does something similar. (Of couse, McCain lost).

During his tenure serving as Speaker of the House of Florida, Rubio shared his residence with another Florida State Representative, David Rivera. The two men co-owned a home together in Tallahassee, which later fell into foreclosure after deferring months of mortgage payments. This controversy surfaced in June 2010, during Rubio's run for the US Senate.
The danger here, is that politicians tend to know how the system can be worked, and familiarity can breed a kind of carelessness. Maybe there's more than just this.

Rubio married Jeanette Dousdebes, a former Miami Dolphins cheerleader, in 1997. She is of Colombian descent, and together they have four children named Amanda, Daniella, Anthony, and Dominic.
I'm gonna predict the usual Florida sex scandal. Beautiful wife, nice family, everything going for him. Only a politician would blow all that.

Start thinking of him. I'm sure top Dems are. He's a contender who's not going away.

OK. Started. Yeah, I think there is a large chunk of right wing base that is not going to let a Latino of Cuban heritage go very far at a national level. In Florida he has enough support to do well, nationally there is a greater mix of redneck to latino in the ratio. Also many of the latino voters across the nation vote Dem.

Can I finish thinking about him now? Oh I havent attacked him or attempted to personally destroy him have I? Shucks.

Jude sucks!!! What do you think of Marco Rubio?

And it was "sifting." How do you shift through sludge?

That's a simple, fair and honest answer. It was like pulling another tooth.
Boo hoo. I couldn't have been any plainer in stating exactly what I think and meant. That's why you object. As if the Dems are going to kind and gracious to him. What a preposterous preemptive speculatively motivated agenda ... bwuahahaa duh.

Check out Marco Rubio for yourself before they indoctrinate you as to why you should hate his evilness. You know it's true.

He's new to me too. I don't know him. I'm not advocating him. But I'm fending off donkeys like water off a ducks back.

You haven't said anything about Marco Rubio yet in this thread. This thread isn't even about Marco Rubio at all. I'm merely responding to the topic of this thread, which is your obsession with future insult and you equating any future critique of Rubio with "personal destruction."

If you want to talk about Rubio, then by all means, talk about him. You haven't yet. Get the discussion started.

Jude sucks!!! What do you think of Marco Rubio?

So this thread isn't about what the Dems will do?

You should ask mods to change the thread title if that's the case.

ETA: And meanwhile, what about Marco Rubio? Do you have something to say?

Is there any chance that you are willing to listen to him answer or is it your intention to oppose him beforehand regardless?

Well, if you would have bothered to read my post instead of just react to my post, then you would have seen that I asked just what is Rubio's plan for increasing revenue by decreasing the unemployment rate.

Therefore, if Senator Rubio actually has a plan, then I sure would like to see it. However, I expect that Senator Rubio does not actually have a plan; instead, I expect that he just doing what just about every other Republican is doing which is bitching and complaining about the problem instead of working to fix the problem.

Yep.

I thought this thread topic was what the Dems were going to do to personally destroy Rubio.

And if it's not that, then I'd consider the topic to be the logical fallacy in JudeBrando's OP. JudeBrando, have you stopped beating your wife yet?

If it's not that. . . .well, JudeBrando, do you have anything to say about Marco Rubio?

:i:

You're accusing others of jumping to conclusions and holding a position prematurely in a thread you started with the title, "How will Dems personally destroy Marco Rubio?"

Jude, I think a far more relevant question to pursue is your misplaced modifier in the thread title. Was your intent to say that the Dems will personally see to the destruction of Marco Rubio, or was it to say that Democrats will destroy Marco Rubio on a personal level? These, these are the pressing questions, the hard-hitting questions. The ones that matter.

Johnny Karate already poked fun at that (back in post #2). I was giving JudeBrando the benefit of the doubt by construing an ambiguous question in the way that makes most sense.

I still don't think JudeBrando meant "personally" in either sense, though. I think he meant "politically". I think it was just the way teenagers will use "literally" when they mean a non-literal but very intense usage. [ETA: That is, I think JudeBrando meant something more like "thorough" destruction than he did personal destruction.]

No, I think it's means to destroy Marco Rubio on a personal level, or more specifically, to attack his character, actions in his personal life, etc., thus the use of "politics of personal destruction."

That's what he means by it ostensibly. But he will use it in response to any criticism of any kind. It's an attempt to cow critics into silence. And it will fail miserably.

Well, as I said, that's the way I've been responding to it. It's hard to tote up all the false assumptions in his loaded question, but if you're right, then another one of them seems to be that "Dems" are wont to do this--that is, that they have been responsible for the personal destruction of other politicians.

I think in any cases of actual personal destruction, it has been self-destruction.

Might as well get started sharpening your knives.

Politics of personal destruction.

Senator Marco Rubio, Republican from Florida.

Let the demonization begin.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/vi...ont_need_new_taxes_we_need_new_taxpayers.html

""We don't need new taxes. We need new taxpayers, people that are gainfully employed, making money and paying into the tax system. Then we need a government that has the discipline to take that additional revenue and use it to pay down the debt and never grow it again," Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) said on the Senate floor."

to me it sounds like he is destroying his credibility on his own, no need for others helping him.
