How is Israel Going to Retaliate Against Hamas?

Indeed. The American support for Israel led directly to the emergence of Al-Qaida and the 9/11 terror attacks, and hence to the war in Afghanistan.

this both nonsense and it is just terrorism apologism. It is like that onion article "new study links domestic violence to burnt pot roast"

Israel has every right to respond to attacks from outside the borders of Palestine, as this would not violate the cease-fire.

Just an hour ago, IDF spokesperson Conricus spoke on CNN and indicated that if there's even a hint of tactical maneuvering inside Gaza by Hamas to gain an advantage or to lay more ambushes/mines/IED's, then the IDF will act to eliminate that activity, with extreme prejudice.

The Houthis should just stand down and quit firing at Israel, because the IAF is fully capable of flying long-range missions in that direction should their buzzbombing attacks continue.

As for Lebanon, the Sheikh already said he's not interested. Now the Hamas cadres in Lebanon are on their own, and it won't be pretty if they persist.

While across the occupied territories, Hamas is being pummelled, lock stock and barrel.
IAF airstrikes are making the Hamas guys very nervous, because they realize Israel is geolocating them and targeting individuals, one by one.

Don't forget about Ismail Haniyeh and Khaled Mashal! Israel said they will take care of these chuds as well.

Just released, video from entire Hamas H-Q compound, including rocket-launchers and an ammo depot. Right next to the school.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Pm5qx57ZDg (Hebrew narration, no translation captioning)

So not in or under the school, or any other building. Out in the fields, No human shields. So the school was just targetted because? The civilians who were not human shields were killed because?

One thing is always going to be 'next to' something else.

the IDF is doing an astonishingly bad job of PR - probably because in the past, they never had to try hard.
But a shaky amateur video of people buried under bombed buildings will always carry more emotional weight that expensively produced 3D animations of buildings and tunnels.

This is incorrect in every way. Whether the US supported Israel or not, Arab hatred for Israel was hardwired. US support enabled Israel to defend itself effectively. Is that not a good thing?
Of course Arab hatred for Israel was hard-wired, and of course US support for Israel was - and is - a good thing. This has no relevance to the fact that the US is hated by many Arabs because of this support.

I think that setting up Israel in Palestine was wrong, but I don’t think that two wrongs make a right, so I support Israel’s right to exist, and defend itself.

Bin Laden was much more upset about American troops being stationed on Saudi soil (which we did to protect Saudi Arabia from Saddam) than he was about Israel.
And you don’t think that his problem with American troops on Saudi soil was precisely because the US is the biggest supporter of Israel?

Oh, and he also wanted the reconquest of Al-Andalus. So judging things by whether or not they upset bin Laden and his ilk isn't really a good metric.
That is news to me. Well, he was an extremist nutter, so it is not too surprising.

Is that credible? I would think it almost certain that Hamas will take tactical advantage of the cease fire (why else would Hamas agree to one?). Will IDF really respond, when doing so would likely jeopardize the return of hostages?

Terrorist apologetics. America provokes terrorist attacks simply by existing and having friends.

What nonsense argument, and certainly not representative of anything I wrote. But it probably is what you get if you live in a black and white world.

The 96-hour lull has not taken effect yet, as originally scheduled.

No explanation given.

Apparently, HAMAS representatives in Qatar never signed the agreement, and now, they're denying RedCross to access the hostages, as promised. (WSJ reporting)

IDF continues operations in every direction.
Another attempted long-range drone attack from Yemen is thwarted by US Navy.
Lebanese territory is again used for missile attacks by terrorists (where is the Lebanese Army, don't they realize they'll be dragged into a war if that keeps up?)
Westbank Palestinians are skating on thin ice. Hamas'-affiliated al-Ayyash Brigades attempted to launch a rocket from that area today.
"A video published by the group of the alleged launch appears to show the rocket falling sideways off of the launcher shortly after being ignited."
(cue Roadrunner/Wile E Coyote scene with ACME rocket kit).

Gazans are already trying to flow back Northwards, figuring that the war is over.
IDF is stopping them, telling them to turn around and go back. "This war isn't over" is the IDF's operational stance.

I am trying to figure out what's what, but media sources are being really lame in their journalism.
Ha'aretz noted that 12 Thai nationals are being released.
Jpost clarified, indicating the Thai government negotiated on behalf of their hostages through channels outside of the ones Israel was engaged in, and their return is in addition to Israeli hostage/prisoner exchanges.
It was previously reported that 23 Thai hostages will be released unconditionally by Hamas, mediated by Iran, according to Al-Araby Al-Jadeed.

Also, right before the 7am lull, IAF airstrike eliminated the head of Hamas' naval command, Amar Abu Jalalah. Good riddance.

Not really. Our main offense is that we're infidels, and Saudi Arabia is holy land. Israel was just one of a **** ton of grievances, it wasn't a stand-out issue for him. If you're really curious, give this a skim:

Above all, the guy was religiously motivated. He hated both Christians and Jews, the difference didn't matter much.

Read his fatwa against the USA. It had three main points:

Osama Bin Laden said:
First, for over seven years the United States has been occupying the lands of Islam in the holiest of places, the Arabian Peninsula, plundering its riches, dictating to its rulers, humiliating its people, terrorizing its neighbors, and turning its bases in the Peninsula into a spearhead through which to fight the neighboring Muslim peoples.

Second, despite the great devastation inflicted on the Iraqi people by the crusader-Zionist alliance, and despite the huge number of those killed, which has exceeded 1 million... despite all this, the Americans are once against trying to repeat the horrific massacres, as though they are not content with the protracted blockade imposed after the ferocious war or the fragmentation and devastation.

Third, if the Americans' aims behind these wars are religious and economic, the aim is also to serve the Jews' petty state and divert attention from its occupation of Jerusalem and murder of Muslims there. The best proof of this is their eagerness to destroy Iraq, the strongest neighboring Arab state, and their endeavor to fragment all the states of the region such as Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and Sudan into paper statelets and through their disunion and weakness to guarantee Israel's survival and the continuation of the brutal crusade occupation of the Peninsula.

Israel was only third on his hit parade.

Is there more information about this school? I'm asking, because it doesn't look like the school in the video was targetted at all, nor is there any evidence of civilian casualties- at least, not that I spotted.
