Remember when the Republicans attacked Mueller to his face and he kind of glass-eyedly took it, and as soon as they attacked his underlings he sharpened to diamond and struck back?

Jim Hines (d) is talking now and is amazing! He's saying all the things the republicans need to hear in language they can understand, and whoever this George Kent guy is..he seems like a smart, honest person.

What's just as interesting but much more worrying is that it plays well to their ill-informed, angry base.
 
Sheesh. The Repubs are actually saying that Zelensky's denial of any quid pro quo is evidence it didn't happen. What do they expect him to say? "Yes, it happened"? We all know how petty and vindictive Trump is. Zelensky had no real choice other than to deny it unless he wanted Trump to take out his anger on Ukraine. Zelensky knows he has to deal with Trump for at least another 14 month and maybe another 5 years.

Zelensky is in the same position as an abused wife who tells the police here husband didn't beat the crap out of her because she's scared to death of the repercussions.

Yeah. At least half the Republicans are strictly feigning outrage, ranting, and making bad arguments.
 
I hear the Democrats grasping at straws and Republicans delivering thoughtful questions. There is nothing here to support impeachment.

The Republican questioning sounds exactly like what a defense attorney might do. The only problem is that the Republicans are not the President’s attorneys, they are public servants.

I agree. The Repubs are so desperately trying to divert from the qpq by focusing on things that have absolutely nothing to do with it. For example, what does the Trump admin. sending more lethal weapons to Ukraine than the Obama admin. have to do with Trump wanting Ukraine to investigate his political rival?

What does Ukraine getting previous aid have to do with Trump deciding to shake down Zelensky regarding investigating Biden in July?
 
How come Bolton hasn't been subpoenaed? He seems to be signalling he would testify if he got one?
 
Wouldn't it be great if The PDJT is watching this, and gets so pissed off that he insists on testifying himself? Thinking of course that he's going to set the record straight about it being a PERFECT phone call.
