It’s just . . . baffling. The police have dug up the whole story and that’s what we get from his camp? As high-falutin’ as Mark Garagos is, why would he be willing to go down with this ship?

Nothing makes sense here. Is there another layer to this whole thing we haven’t seen yet?

Gallagos is a typical Hollywood lawyer....he functions not so much as an courtroom attorney, but as a PR hack. The really good courtoom lawyers in LA you almost never hear of, and avoid publicity,where as Gallagos courts it.

I may have to binge watch this show just to see how they do it on such short notice. So far my only exposure to Smollett is his minor role as a Xenomorph victim in Covenant.

Did it lynch him and cover him in alien bleach?

They must know that he's not telling the truth.

From what I have read, his fellow cast members were expecting an apology and a mea culpa, and were outraged when Smollet insisted on his innocence and pulled out his "The Police Set Me Up" story. The set of Empire is not going to be a happy place....

I am sure the legal fees they will have to pay from this..they will certainly be charged with being an accessory to the hoax...will more then eat up the $3500.

We already knew he was buying drugs from a brother, as this was in the proffer. Looks like TMZ is saying that during his arrest he said that he has an untreated addiction.
