Chicago PD will let us know when the investigation shifts from investigating the attack to investigating the hoax?

Certainly they can't let an unfounded claim of racists, gay-bashing people in the tourist mecca of downtown Chicago, right?

There is a difference between disbelieving something because parts don’t add up and automatically disbelieving something because the person who said it is black.
What makes you say "He is demonstrably not currently racist.

That picture doesn’t prove to me he was or is currently a racist. But by the same token some people advocate policies because of the power it will bring them not because of any convictions.

The authorities won’t come out and say that the story is BS. That would be too racist and homophobic. They will stop answering questions about it and the newspapers will drop the story because they know it is BS. Most people will forget about it over time. But a lot of people will remember it vaguely as the time that homosexual negro was attacked and tortured by MAGA hat rednecks and the racist homophobic lazy incompetent CPD never bothered to investigate and solve a horrific hate crime.

If found to be a hoax it should be charged as a hate crime. The only reason to do this is to cause others hardship due to race.
 
I disagree with Kamala Harris and Cory Booker calling this a 'modern day lynching.'. They are trying to make this incident more prominent by equating it to lynching, when they are actually lowering how horrible and disgusting actual lynchings were.

Lynchings are not a very common occurrence, if it were actually a lynching, it would be the first one since 1919 in Illinois.

Of historical note, the lynching before the two in 1919 was the lynching of Mormon Joseph Smith in 1844, he was shot 3 times, then propped against a wall and shot by a firing squad of black-faced lynchers.

I believe it's called a gurney and it's pretty standard fare for a hospital emergency room to have the patient sit or lie down on one (wrapped in paper, of course-the bed not the patient!).

On the hand, back in the day I hit the curb on a roundabout riding my bicycle, and fell off sideways onto my right side forcing my elbow into my ribs and bruising at least one rib. While I managed to ride the bike home, the next day I found it extremely painful to get out of bed and this lasted for about a week and a half. Not sure if I would be able to do a gig.

But the good news is that we no longer need to look for a scooter only a bicycle!

Oh Jesus Christ. What idiots. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe Harris and Booker have some souvenir lynching postcards where the white people posed in front of the living black man with a scratch on his cheek.

Hate crimes have to be directed toward a specific individual. There's no such thing as a hate crime directed toward society at large, or even to a generic group like "all Jews" or "all white people". If you harm or threaten someone because of their race/etc, that's a hate crime. If you file a false police report with the intention of making all people of a specific race/etc look bad, that's just filing a false police report.


I suspect, but I am not a lawyer, that if you file a false police report implicating a specific indidual, and the prosecutor can establish that your motivation in implicating a specific individual was that person's race/etc, that might be covered by some hate crimes legislation.
