horrifying attack on Jussie Smollett

I'm over and done with this with you.

Okay. That leaves us with your Daily Mail story being wrong about robbery charges and no support for the claim that Jussie is accusing the Osundairo brothers as being his assailants. He certainly didn't say that in his statement outside the court last week and actually walked away from the question "Are your assailants still out there?". The Daily Mail story also says his lawyer disputes that it is certain the brothers were even at the scene, which is contrary to accusing them of being his assailants. And your citation doesn't actually say anything at all about what Jussie himself is saying. In fact, I can't find Jussie's current opinion on anything after the court appearance in that article. All I can find is him refusing to say things since then.

Didn't Smollett state the two guys in the street cam video were definitely his attackers? The guys that were identified as the brothers?

Yes, he was very sure in the TV interview that those two on camera were his attackers.

yes. in the GMA interview.

Did Smollett ever identify the two brothers as his attackers? I'm asking if HE did it. Not that amateur sleuths on the internet have inferred indirectly he might have meant that.

Yes, he did. The police produced video of two people. Smollett said he was confident those two people were his attackers. The two people in the video were the Osundari brothers.

Chris Rock took apart Smollett at the NAACP Awards. I understand why he didn't show up. Jussie Smollett is a dead man walking.

CBS News said:
Actor-comedian Chris Rock took verbal jabs at actor Jussie Smollett before he presented the award for outstanding comedy series to ABC's "black-ish" at the 50th annual NAACP Image Awards Saturday night. Smollett, who had all criminal charges against him dropped last week for allegedly staging a hate crime, did not attend the awards.

"They said no Jussie Smollett jokes," Rock said. "Yeah, I know, but what a waste of light skin. Do you know what I could do with that light skin? That curly hair, my career would be out of here. I would be running Hollywood. What the hell was he thinking? You are known as 'Jessie' for now on. You don't even get the 'u' anymore. That 'u' was for respect. You ain't getting no respect from me."

In response to Rock's jokes, "black-ish" star Yara Shahidi made her stance in the Smollett controversy obvious.

"I stand with Jussie," Shahidi said before she handed the microphone to Marcus Scribner and ducked into her crowd of castmates including Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross.

Jussie Smollett lost to "Grey's Anatomy" star Jessie Williams in the supporting actor in a drama series category...

"I stand with Jussie" basically means that you are an idiot or a close relative.

So the biggest stink is coming from the sealing of the evidence, that the brothers blew his story out of the water. That the brothers copped a plea, admitted to their part for pay, even had the matching rope at their apartment, the store evidence of who bought the 'rope', pics of street camera, .....

But it sounds like the seal may be crumbling as we type.

And how high above Foxx does the corruption go? Jackson? Obama?

This situation should show people , it isn't about skin color, it's about wealth and power. We don't need to have one color of poor fight the other, but maybe we should turn our eyes toward those that have power, of every color , sex and creed instead of making things a war and trying to use them as rallying points.

But it won't. We are not there yet. It will just drive the wedge in further, while people like this nut sack and the various testicles supporting him, not to mention the rest of the nads just like him , from the tiny ones that are president, to the tucked cut and shaved ones running any lobbying organization, just keep spooging all over us.

I disagree. This situation is absolutely about "skin color" (i.e., race relations in the US). The problems of wealth and power are always present in society. How they manifest depends on what that society is like, what's its pressures and constraints are, etc.

What this situation should show people is that in the US, the issue of race relations isn't just about poor minorities struggling to overcome systemic discrimination. It's also about people in positions of wealth and power taking sides, exploiting events, and turning events to their own corrupt purposes. In short: Race baiting in America has matured into race grifting.

Smollett pulled a racist grift, and his allies in positions of power acted to protect him when the caper went bad.

As I said, not there yet. We are trying to overlay the issues we want to fight onto those we are experiencing, and it isn't working.
