Another Validating Anecodote™ for allelopathy!

Ok, so I've had a tooth ache for a while.... yeah yeah yeah... I know... go see Dr. Pain the dentist.

But I've been using a combination of homeopathy (tap water) and prayer (please go away tooth ache) to keep my tooth problems at bay...

Well, I had finally had enough the other day and went to see the dentist.

One root canal and some antibiotics later... and my tooth is all better.

Curse you allelopathy and your damned proven results!

I think you will find that you suffered an aggravation from the homeopathic remedy, and if you had see a TRUE homeopath the pain would have gone away. Luckily the prayer worked however and a dentist was arranged who would take care of you.

Or something like that.

What you actually got there was a delayed reaction to the homoeopathic remedy. It just seems as though the antibiotics and root canal solved the problem but in fact it was woo-woo water all the way.

[homeopath mode] the effcts of prayer being a form of energy healing can of course interfear with homeopathy[/homeopath mode]

um, no, the spirits finally consented to grant your request and healed you in spite of you homeopathy, dentist visit, subsequent root canal and antibiotics.

Now now, did you shake the tap water? You didn't energize the memory mechanism you silly! No wonder you had to resort to painful dentistry and poisonous antibiotics.

Next time find the homeoquack closest to you and ask him to shake your tap water. Maybe you can trick the quackster into doing it for free by handing it to him and asking him questions while walking around the room a bit.

Now uh, what's the like cures like for toothaches? Erm...what caused the toothache? Sugar? Maybe even just try shaking the water near sugar.

I dunno, but you just need to try harder next time to get it right :D

I think you'll find that it was the combination of the natropathic and allopathic remedies, working together, that cured you*.

* This was a claim made, this morning, on a TV show in the UK about breast cancer. A woman said that, after diagnosis, she started homeopathic treatment and meditation. After some time, the tumour was still growing, so she had chemotherapy. The cancer disappeared. Obviously this meant that both treatments were working in harmony, and any one on its own would have been useless.
