Homeopathy: HRH’s Woo Walkabout

Yes. He had sex twice with his wife. This produced two children. One of them is second in line and the other is a spare.

PS. I hope it was him who had sex with his wife.

If it wasn't, it was treason.

No, I think that is only if you have sex with the King's wife. I think the last man to get into trouble for that was during the reign of King Henry VIII. He may have been innocent.

Duchy Originals said:
Our decision to launch these products reflects The Prince of Wales's passion for integrated healthcare and here at Duchy we hope that our range of herbal remedies will encourage more people to adopt this integrated approach to their health.

How is buying a packet of herbal pills from Boots any more integrated than buying a packet of Lemsip?

I loved the smackdown by Edzard Ernst.

Deferential my arse. The royal family are a tourist industry, nothing more. Or at least that's as it should be.

Coming to America….

Prince Charles to sell herbal remedies in US

The 60-year-old royal told the Organic Centre in California that his products will soon be appearing on American shelves.

He said: "I cannot tell you how heartening it is to me, personally, that plans to launch Duchy Originals in the USA are now well advanced."

For drive-by readers, here’s a good summary of all the shenanigans that accompanied the recent launch of the Duchy's herbal remedies in the UK:

The publicity has begun, and it’s not all good…
Indeed, the first I was aware of this product was from a satirical article in Private Eye.

Unfortunately not online, but the upshot of it being
Camilla rolling her eyes at being forced by hubbie to down the stuff, replaces with gin and the both of them enjoy the benefits of the tincture.
.OK, hardly spoiler worthy stuff, but, neither's the Duchy's product.

Like other royals, Barmy Prince Charlie can believe as many as six impossible things before breakfast.

Why would anyone, let alone a (fairly) major supermarket chain, be interested in buying such a spectacularly failing business? To be honest I thought Dodgy Originals turned over far more than £1.5m, never mind £57k.

This is profit not turnover. Another company would want to take it over for one of two reasons
1. They can fix the errors the company makes and so increase profit.
2. The target has assets that can be used and are worth more than what the company is valued (by share price).

Oops, I didn't mean turnover. But I am still surprised at only £1.5m profit.

3. And they get the name; which is pretty high profile.

The recession-hit organic food company has seen profits plummet from £1.53million to £57,400 in a YEAR.

So, homeopathically speaking, the company is getting stronger?
