Homeopathy Dare! Video

homeopathy is one of those things that uses heightened language to speak to (scientifically) uneducated people. they know that anyone with a basic undertanding and interest in science will balk at their claims, but they know millions and millions of people arent in that category, so they dont really care. they use just enough "big words" to confuse and impress their audience if someone tries to challenge them.

also, i didnt know what homepathy was till i joined this forum- i thought it was just "natural" cures, and i think a lot of people probably make the same mistake. i'm not saying natural/herbal remedies are any better than homeopathy, but at least some of them do something (for better or worse)...i think there are probably a lot of people who, if informed of how these products were prepared, would say "holy crap, thats not gonna do anything!"

my suggestion - bombard them with censorship posts

No, far better is to bombard them with questions like 'why is the dose for children more powerful than the dose for adults?' : 'Can you chop a pill in half and get a stonger pill?' : 'How does Brauer test its product?'

Seems I have been banned, else they have some glitch.
I posted ...

RE: Nervatona Calm
You are saying that this medicine has psycotropic properties and that overuse of it can lead to dependence. What regulatory body has certified this drug?

... but it failed to submit.

Would someone else post this for me pls?

Just posted this:

The 'medicine' the people are taking in this video is Brauer's Sleep and Insomnia Relief. It had no effect.

See:

Remembering that testimonials and antidotes, no matter how heart-felt, are not good evidence, (if they were every religion on earth would be real) what independent clinical trails can Brauer point us to that have shown their Sleep and Insomnia Relief pills are effective? Also, how are the ‘vibrations’ of the active ingredients equally added to the millions of sugar pills that Brauer produces? How does Brauer do quality testing to make sure that the pills have, for example, Coffea 30C and not Coffea 29C?

Finally, the James Randi Education Foundation offer a $1,000,000 prize to anyone who can prove that homeopathic works as claimed under mutually agreed to and independently umpired conditions. The prize is guaranteed under US law. Sound be very easy money for Brauer or any homeopath.

"Sound" = "Should"??

Damn! It's been a very long day and I have a head cold. Yes, I wanted to say "Sounds like easy money" and "Should be easy money". It came out mixed.

Anyway, I hope you will also help out by posting such questions.

hmmm, odd, I posted it.... I'll try agian tomorrow,../// maybe it takes a little time.

Hi Richard Thanks very much for your questions. In regard to evidence, the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) holds sponsors of therapeutic goods responsible for the evidence to justify the claims they make for those goods. In the case of homeopathic products, the TGA accepts traditional evidence sources to justify these claims. This evidence may be sourced from homeopathic repertories, materia medicas and written histories of use. Brauer Natural Medicine, the sponsor for Brauer’s Sleep and Insomnia Relief, holds this evidence. The manufacturing technique used to produce homeopathic tablets varies from one company to another. The technique used by Brauer is to impregnate these tablets with a stock solution of active homeopathic ingredients in accordance with the method described in the homeopathic pharmacopoeia of the United States. This is an internationally recognised pharmacopoeia and recognised by the government of the USA, as well as the Australian Federal Government. The testing of the substances you mention is done on the basis of the manufacturing procedure involved. This complies with the TGA’s Good Manufacturing Practice code and complies with all other TGA requirements. If you’d like to know more about these requirements, please contact the TGA or look at www.tga.health.gov.au As to the offer made by James Randi, this appears to revolve around the mistaken notion that homeopathy doesn’t work. The evidence that homeopathy does work is very easy to find for anyone such as youself who obviously takes a keen interest in this subject. You could have a look the Glasgow Homoeopathic Hospital online database, for example, by going to www.hom-inform.org You can also download an excellent book that contains 84 pages of positive clinical trials on homeopathy called, Homeopathy- The Scientific Proofs of Efficacy by going to www.homeopathicdoctor.ca/reference/proof.pdf These are just 2 places where you’ll find good objective evidence for the effectiveness of homeopathy. There are a great many other places where you’ll easily find more evidence and I’d be happy to supply you with more sites once you've had a look at these. Thanks again for your questions. It’s great to see someone who’s so enthusiastic about homeopathy. Regards Robert Medhurst Brauer Natural Medicine
