Homeopathic Flu Vaccine

Shortage of flu vaccine? Just add water, etc.

http://www.newsnet5.com/health/2696522/detail.html

At Ohio Holistic Medicine, there is plenty of homeopathic flu vaccine, a natural remedy some doctors say works, even for people who already have the flu.

"It has relieved their symptoms of the flu, so they've recovered in a day or two and come back to work, as opposed to suffering for a week or two," said Dr. Leonard Torok, of Ohio Holistic Medicine.

The homeopathic form is the traditional vaccine diluted into a water and alcohol solution over and over. You take two pills a day for a couple of months.

The homeopaths (well the clasical ones) will insist on call this isopathy.

Mind you taking a homeopathioc remedy when you are not ill is ment to cause a proving. I suspose they have convently forgotten that.

I thought the way they got the nosodes was usually gunk from an actual clinical case of the disease. Diluting the vaccine is a new one on me. They must not be so anti-vaccine as I thought. :D

So does this supersede oscillococcinum (geni can do the link....) and allium cepa (aka onion)?

Well in the link they are going on about isopathy in relation to the diluted vacine thing so I think thats what they mean.

Oh, that's the thread? I hadn't realised they'd got on to that. I was having way too much fun watching Fat Man post stuff from the JREF thread in the Breast Cancer discussion. :D

That ChaChaHeels is absolutely pernicious, isn't she!
Measles--that's a childhood disease that should resolve in 4 days, even if I do nothing. It's an acute miasm disease that can be treated with an appropriate remedy that can be selected for the child's case. If there is an outbreak affecting a number of children, you can use genus epidemicus prescribing to find the right remedy for all those affected.
Wow. So much ignorance, so little time....

I was also thinking of this link here.

According to Peter Fisher, the remedy for a cold or flu is allium cepa, because as everybody knows, when you chop an onion your eyes and nose water and you sneeze. I gather the Queen walks around with a little bottle of his dilute onion, just in case. Seems like he didn't want to tell the Horizon audience that chopping a real onion wasn't the point, and it was whether a 30C onion made you feel depressed, or sleep badly, or gave you a stiff neck, or whatever mad proving symptoms the obsessives recorded. Huh. I wonder why the HomeopathyHome lot don't seem to be into onion. Isn't the Queen's homoeopath's advice good enough for them? (Oh, sorry, forgot, he's an "allopath-homoeopath", and so knows nothing and is quite beyond the pale.)

On with the oscillococcinum and the hyperdilute evil vaccine.

Wish I could make money out of nothing squared.

Rolfe.

I found the following post especially amusing. From:
http://www.hpathy.com/FORUM/display...mID=2&TopicID=743&PagePosition=1&ThreadPage=1

snoopy: ... for those of you who don't believe in vaccinating homeopathy-style, consider this small incident as told to me by my friend Alan. He off-handedly remarked that he had taken Benadryl 30C and after that his real Benadryl wouldn't work for 2 weeks! To me, this is the proof of homeopathic prophylaxis.
These people must have been given a 200C dose of branium when they were young, because their branes don't seem to be working properly.

Well it looks lilke they're onto a winner there. Most people who claim they have 'flu have nothing of the sort, they just have a bit of a sniffle which will resolve itself after 2-5 days (or 1-4 days after you bothered to go and see your homeopathic "healer").

If you've actually got 'flu, there's no way you'd be able to go and see your local snake oil salesman until you're nearly better anyway.

Nice one Rolfe!
Actually, I think Geni has been a lot more on top of this one than I have. However, I can't resist posting the rest of that post from ChaChaHeels I excerpted above - put the two quotes together and you get the whole thing.
It (measles) is a disease that confers an awful lot of immunity development, left brain development, and overall strength to children, so I don't classify it in the same group as "polio". But if there are other children around who will be susceptible, and they were exposed, I'd give the genus epidemicus remedy as a prophylactic. They'd avoid getting the disease but would also gain the immunity and brain growth associated with it via their exposure to the influence of the disease... which is resolved by the remedy.

In an outbreak of polio, you'd have to prescribe as in an epidemic. Once you've seen a number of cases and found the g. e. remedies, you can use these remedies as prophylactics as well as the treatment.
Gosh, all that wonderful, demonstrable, repeatable, provable benefit from the shaken-up water, and doctors are just letting kids suffer and die out of sheer stubbornness.

Yeah, right.

Wouldn't that imply that you'd have to cut up the tablets too... because eating onions doesn't have that effect.

Eating onions makes me happy. Would that make these pills Very Happy Pills? Where can I buy some?

I wish I had no morals about exploiting the stupid.

Presumably if eating real onions makes you happy then homeopathically they would be Very Unhappy Pills - they'd be a remedy for happiness.

Always a handy treatment to have in your first aid box. :(

Those folks just carry on their conversation as if it all made sense. I'm having trouble getting my head around just how totally and completely bizarre it is. My mind reels at the diabolical gestalt of the thing. Their weltanschauung engulfs my psyche in a kind of psychotic dance that will not stop.

Ah - then you'll be wanting to take Platina for your mentalism.
