Watching WAY too much television. It is FILLED with woo! I think Montel has Sylvia Browne on about once a week or so (her book, unfortunately, is on the best sellers list), there is a show called, "Pet Psychics" on Animal Planet and Psychic Detectives on Court TV. These are just the regular series, and not even the specials and made for tv movies on Lifetime, Oxygen, and all of those powder puff channels.

I guess I am out of the loop, because this is all new to me, but damn....no wonder people get suckered. It is everywhere...

Daytime TV is filled with all sorts of crap, both "documentary" and fiction. Much of it's based on supernatural tripe.

Anyway, stop watching TV and start playing online poker. Skeptics make good poker players.

Daytime TV is definitely dumbed down, even the non-woo shows. Maury Povich is either cheating spouses, makeovers or "who's the daddy", there are tons of court shows (Judge Hatchett, Judge Alex, Judge Judge, Joe Brown, Judge Mathis, The People's Court, Divorce Court and Judge Judy) I like Judge Judy, but the others are usually people just yelling at each other. I have never watched soaps or Jerry Springer, so I couldn't say what the deal is with those. Then there are the talk shows, which are not as bad as the judge shows, but vary widely. I don't mind Ellen or the View, but I don't watch them much, either. I haven't seen the other ones-I think Tony Danza has a show, and Regis still has one. Then there is Oprah and Dr. Phil. I watched Dr. Phil a few times, but he is more of an entertainer than a therapist. I don't watch Oprah much, but she isn't stupid, anyway.

I have at least two more MONTHS of this..I broke the leg badly. I am catching up on reading and that is actually enjoyable, but that is wearing thin as well.

Hmmm...online poker. Can I win money doing that? I only hear about the people who lose everything and then blame their credit card company for not stopping them from....using the credit card. Hmmm....maybe they can go on one of those judge shows...:D

Can I send you my quilt to finish? I never seem to get time to sit down to work on it at all.

There are certainly lots of dvds you can watch. I have a stack I have yet to get to myself. Go nostalgic and rent fun old tv shows. Movie marathons of favorite filmmakers. Or go for the bad movie catagory and watch lots of stupid stuff you can laugh at.

Or go find lots of podcasts to enjoy. That way you can sit outside, enjoy fresh air and listen to something interesting.

And housewives. The amount of emasculation is staggering. I'm forced to watch horrible things when I want to work out in the gym here at work during the day.

Been there. Fifteen weeks in a cast.

Lots and lots of reading, and solitaire on the computer, listening to music. And "walks" in the neighborhood.
