Holy semen...........

I'm not sure sympathy is the right word, but perhaps some understanding is lacking. There was an article or study (which I conveniently cant find the link to at the moment) examining critical thinking in developing nations being influenced by the culture. Some example was given about a man chopping wood with a dull axe, despite having a sharpening stone close by, he perceived only that stopping to sharpen the axe would eat up some of his chopping time without being able to acknowledge the time and effort he would save by pausing to sharpen it.
 
Mental note, if I go pick up chicks in Israel, I should probably be honest about my being a starship captain too ;)
 
oh and tricking a woman into your bed by promising all kind of stuff is legal? just never claim you semen is holy?

I don't think this is limited to developing world. I had seen a lot of young people in US who were highly resistant to taking time to improve a process which was already "good enough". There was some kind of mental block against the idea of "saving time and effort later on".

But what does this have to do with OP?

Well, I am not in your country, but fraud is illegal is US. If he dispensed his "miracle substance" for free he might get away with it here, but not if he actually charged women money.

Aye, there are undeveloped areas in the US. Moonshine country comes to mind.

But yeah, that was a slight derail as we started discussing lack of sympathy for women foolish enough to fall for the mystical semen trick.

People I was talking about were in New York and Massachusetts, not in "moonshine country". It had to do with youth and inexperience than with economic backwardness.

Nissim Aharon, a former employee at the Israeli defence ministry, was convicted of rape, sodomy, indecent acts and aggravated fraudulent acquisition.

Women paid him large sums of money, believing he was a holy rabbi who could heal body and soul, the court said.

When I clicked on this thread, my guess was that someone had just got done reading Jesus, Interrupted, as it contains an interesting story of some holy semen:

This reminds me of one of the skits in Monty Python's Meaning of Life movie :

It's surprising authorities didn't tack on a prostitution charge, considering that women were paying him for his "services"

This incident brings to mind a certain promiscuous minister's famous tagline - "I'm fµcking for God"
