We engage them so that the lurkers on the board can see the arguments are baseless, and why.

We also engage them so that when Google indexes these pages hopefully some of the debunkings show up in search results. (Unfortunately that doesn't always work. Google "9/11 truth" and the JREF is not on the first page of results--only the most prominent sites are, and a Wikipedia article.)

Has LC ever had an 'argument'? I never noticed one in the quotes. Then there's this Dictator Cheney guy who claims English is not his first language but his grammar and syntax are fine and all his 'mistakes' are spelling errors.

"OPERATION JAMES BOND" was first revealed in a book titled Op JB by its principal operator, Christopher Creighton, Churchill's personal assassin who had previously sunk the Dutch submarine that had sighted the Japanese Fleet sailing to raid Pearl Harbor, then personally blackmailed KGB Chairman Ivan Serov into becoming a British Agent, after which he engineered the reunion of Lord Mountbatten and his only true love, Grand Duchess Maria of Russia.

The whole thing has been thoroughly debunked; seel Counterfeit Spies (1998) for some of the ghastly details. (Others, such as the DNA matching that indicated G.D. Maria had been murdered in 1918, came later.)

The whole bit about Hitler being a British Agent is a postwar German joke; he steps out of the ruins of Berlin, hands a card to the British officre commanding a patrol of occupying troops, and says, "Agent 3491 reporting. Mission accomplished."

I can't figure if this is the same Greg Hallett who also runs/ran the "Fathering NZ" deal which was responsible for stalking and hassling judges who didn't give custody to fathers.

I suspect it is, but I can't find a link.

Not sure about the Duke at all. His wife, allegedly, was. I have seen no verification of that. A lot of what one might read about her seems far fetched and sensationalistic.
 
BTW, most experts on Hitler think he NEVER set foot on British soil. The evidence for a pre World War I visit from Hitler to England (the seed from which the crackpot theory we are discussing came from) has been examined and found totally wanting. It almost certainly never happened.
