Hillary Clinton is Done

Are you not paying attention at all? Yes, the NYTs is bad when they publish false stories about people. They retracted the story that you keep repeating.

Oh course, your post is very clear: You couldn't find any criminal investigation of Clinton, because there isn't one.*
*Outside of Darryl Issa's Benghazi fishing, but that partisan witch hunting doesn't amount to a real criminal investigation.

Not sure Colbert will be having Slick Willamina on. Can only hope!
Stephen Colbert got real with presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton on his late night show Friday, taking the candidate to task over recent efforts to be more authentic.

“Experience does not matter to voters,” Colbert said from his new desk at CBS. “Yes, Ms. Clinton is clearly qualified for the office but to be elected is not enough. You have to appear genuine. If only there was some way we could get a glimpse into the private side of Hillary Clinton. I don’t know — read her emails or something?”

I loves me some Joe Biden. I not only watched the Colbert segment, but also the speech he gave on 911, which I can't find online right now. i was impressed with the emphasis and power of that speech. I never thought of him as presidential, but I'm coming around to that now...

I wouldn't be surprised if many others feel the same way. Biden seems to be liked among Democrats, and he has an advantage in that A) he's not Clinton and B) he's not Sanders. He could easily pose himself as the "sensible", "electable" choice.

I always like Biden. the Right always kept describing him as an idiot...until now. I wonder what their agenda is.

I'm sure Slick Willamina will chalk it up to "A Vast Right Wing Conspiracy":D:p:cool::rolleyes:

ETA: Do you have an example of righties praising JB?

Everyone should watch Biden on Colbert's new talk show, for a contrast between Clinton and Biden. It's a shame he probably won't run.

Thanks for the link. I watched both parts and was extremely impressed. I wouldn't vote for him because of his politics, but he seems like quite a guy. He's not afraid to show he's an actual human being. I can't remember seeing a politician speak like that before.

Clinton turned over thousands of emails to the appropriate government agency and said, as far as she was concerned, she'd prefer it all be released to the public.
The problem of course with her remark is that her release of the emails was reactive to this situation coming up. Not proactive. This isn't to state anything about guilt in particular but she probably would have had more room to call BS on the spin if she had handled her response to the situation better. There's a certain degree of spin over her violations, but a certain amount of the criticism is well warranted. She may not have any control over how others want to spin the story, but she did have some control over whether that spin was all bluster or as happened if it really makes her look bad. Her poor handling did latter both for the spin and what's actually critique worthy.

Politifact seems to nail the main point in the swirl of spin pretty well IMO.

A lot of people don't know the history he was talking about on Colbert. A month after he was first elected to the Senate -- at the age of 30 -- his wife and baby daughter were killed in a traffic accident and his two young sons were critically hurt. He managed to rebuild his life and raise his sons, and made a practice of commuting by train between Washington and Delaware every work day to be home for them. Even people who don't agree with him on anything consider him an uncommonly decent man.

Biden was the only politician advocating that Iraq be partioned, and he deserves credit for this wisdom/foresight.

I'm an ABH* liberal. She has never come across as "real" to me, whatever that means. About the closest she ever came was the "vast right wing conspiracy" remark, which, while true, was a politically stupid thing to say.

*Anyone but Hillary.

Yeah the problem with ABH is that the 'anyone' who ends up in the Whitehouse is likely to be Jeb Bush...

I have the same issue with Bernie Sanders as I do with Jeremy Corbyn here in the UK. I tend to agree with some of his policy stances but they are buried amongst a raft of others that are going to alienate large parts of the electorate. Bernie Sanders is the candidate to choose if the Democratic Party wants to feel good about itself, Clinton is probably the one if they want to keep control of the White House.
