What Republicans don't see to get is the whacked out doom and gloom hyperbole they use is directly contradicted by the facts.

They also don't see that normal people can see Republicans are not running on their ideas, just trying to run down the opposition.

And let us not forget that Twain was a humorist. Like many, he'd sometimes say stuff just for the opportunity to put a zinger in that would appeal to the audience. I think his most famous line (maybe apocryphal, I don't know) was in response to who he was going to vote for in the upcoming election... "Oh, I don't vote. It only encourages them."

Actually you have just verified the point I have made often. We do not have republicans anymore and have not had
republicans since
roughly 1980. The few let in 1980-82 or so were kicked/moved out of the pack by '63 and it has been **** since. Moral Majority and the fundy bastards took over and gave the treasure chest to big business interests

Don't be intentionally stupid. A Democrat is a member of the Democratic party. The party is not called the Democrat party. This is a very very simple thing, and does not require a lot of thought. If you want to insult Democrats, do so but don't lie and pretend that you don't know when you're doing it. If I (and moderators please note that I'm not doing this in reality because it is not permitted here) were to call you "BrooklynBooby" I might once in my entire life be able to say it was a mistake and not an insult. After being informed otherwise, I could never again call it a mistake, and if I continued to argue about it as if there were any ambiguity or misunderstanding, you would have every right to call me a fool.

I have worked it out, but forum regulations forbid me to state the conclusion explicitly. I will just add that a person who cannot distinguish between a noun and an adjective is not likely to be able to make many distinctions worth considering seriously.

"Republicker" simply isn't going to work, Republicans just don't find it offensive like people who are accused of being part of the "Democrat Party" do.

I was going to say teabagger is certainly offensive, I didn't know they coined it themselves, before they were aware of the gay sexual definition, that's funny.
