Hillary Clinton is Done: part 3

It's been mentioned. Thus far, the off-to-10PM-Siberia Hannity* is the only Fox regular pushing it. The others give it lip service, or at least don't argue against it if it's brought up, but it's Hannity/Drudge/Donald material.

Look for that to change with the honorable member from Breitbart South now leading the campaign.

*Hannity is, as it turns out, too crazy for Fox. He was losing more than half of O'Reilly's viewers following him and handing over to Greta with much too small an audience. Is the Fox viewership tired of The Nightly Trump Show? Or have they just outgrown Mr. Nutsy.

I don't see that Hannity is any different than he was a decade ago (for better or worse), perhaps, it's the audience demographics that are changing more than it is actually Hannity who has changed.

Show where in the bill it said anything about "destruction" or "mass murder".

Because I'm pretty sure that if someone proposed a bill in the Senate that said "hereby be it resolved that America will inflict mass destruction and mass murder upon _____" that few, especially Hillary, would have voted for it. You are confusing the ineptitude of the Bush White House war making abilities with what was actually voted on in the Senate.

As many of the "Whereas" portions of the bill were suspected to be exaggerations or outright fabrications at the time the bill was put up for vote (and most of these have since been found to be completely without compelling evidentiary support), this is a perfect example of why we must insure the standard of the congressional debate and deliberation period before congress votes or supports any extensive military operation against sovereign states, and that the bills to support such operations include provisions for bipartisan congressional oversight committees who will receive weekly briefings from the State Department and the Pentagon regarding status of the operation to include imminent action and current intelligence assessments.

Such is unlikely to eliminate all recklessness, but knowing that they are going to be asked about the issues of civilians, public and private property, rules of engagement, end-game, etc., ahead of voting on authorization and in order to maintain congressional support (funding), will make it much more likely that that future administrations will at least give some consideration to these concerns and issues before they even approach congress for these authorizations, and congress is put in the position of having to vote and being held responsible for the consequences of their votes, based upon non-existent, incomplete or unreliable information.

I swear Hannity is the worst kind of shill. He really doesn't have a clue.

Oh, I think he does. He's been on television and radio since 1996, written several books (I think a few were bestsellers, I don't know, I didn't read them) and I believe is currently worth $20 million or so. He definitely has a clue, and despite being a conservative, he knows how to hold out his bread so it can be buttered. Doesn't excuse him, but there it is.

Glenn Beck, on the other hand . . .

Glenn Beck, on the other hand . . .

He learned things this year. His exile in is his own neverTrump world has resulted in character building. It's weird.

“All of us are sitting around a table, and we're all friends,” he said. “It's time for dessert, and everybody gets pie except for me and you. And you say, ‘I didn’t get any pie.’ Everybody at the table looks at you and says ‘I know. All pie matters.’ You say, ‘But I don't have any pie! What about my pie?’”

Beck's point was that white Americans simply did not understand what black people had been saying about police in America.

The “leaders” of the movement, he said, were “communists and anti-capitalists” whom he could never agree with. “But they're not the people walking behind them in the street,” he said. “We're all speaking different languages and we need to talk to each other.”

He's still out there but there are signs of activity up stairs.

No. Congress is only supposed to authorize the war and fund it. All the planning/execution of said war rests with the Executive branch. If you want better planned wars you vote for a better president, you don't leave that up to Congress.

Sean Hannity and others are pimping the idea that she had a stroke and has some kind of seizures. I haven't followed every Hillary! thread here; is this being discussed on any of them?

There's a very good diary by Skeptical Raptor about this over on Daily Kos.

Quick summary: the medical authority behind the story is Jane Orient, head of the right-wing medical propaganda group AAPS (Association of American Physicians and Surgeons), and it's based on a blog post Orient wrote in which she diagnosed Clinton based on pictures and videos she saw on the internet.

The power to pass legislation and declare war gives congress the ability to demand compelling evidence warranting that declaration and set the conditions and standards of the actions they are authorizing. Likewise, the power of the purse gives them the ability to require information and oversight of what they have authorized to ensure that the administration does not abuse that authorization. The Commander-in-Chief working within the congressional authorizations oversees and executes strategic and occasionally tactical operations but that position does not constitutionally demand a completely free hand nor does it constitutionally shield and exclude his actions from oversight, investigation, or the potential consequences of violating any restrictions or limitations congress includes in such an authorization.

By the standards you set, no president since Eisenhower has been truly qualified to serve as Commander in Chief.

That this military adventure would result in what it resulted in was patently obvious before it even started, nobody's "war making abilities" would have changed that. That the bill didn't literally say that this would be the result is no excuse.

She's one of the nuts still pushing the debunked "abortion causes breast cancer" lie. She also supported Paul Church, who used his hospital email to send anti-gay messages containing nonsensical lies about HIV, and has peddled anti-vax crap.
And a couple of years ago she also claimed that illegal immigrants were bringing Ebola into the USA.
She's a quack.

Other prominent members of AAPS include Ron and Rand Paul. It would appear to be primarily a political organization, not a medical one.

God, the Apocalypse is upon us. I agree with Beck on something.
I would not quite as far as calling the BLM leadership Communist;but Anti Capitalsit is pretty accurate, the issue of police misconduct is being forgotten in a bunch of Militant Left Rhetoric.

No, it wasn't. If they simply hadn't disbanded the Iraqi military and police forces the entire invasion would likely have worked without all the mess afterwords.

Look up what Orac has said about the AAPS. Bunch of cranks

Agreed. I am a little skeptical of rationalwiki when it comes to politics.....it has a heavy tilt to the left, tends to view anthing right of center as "extreme...but they are dead on about AAPS being a right wing "Right To Life" group masquerading as a "protecting the patients" group.

Sure it was, it was already a just-barely-not-boiling kettle pot of sectarian conflict under Saddam. Remove Saddam and you get full-blown insurrection and civil war, which was more than obvious enough beforehand. And no, not disbanding the military or police force would not have changed this, it would just have provided the insurrection and sectarian groups with more resources. The military or police were not immune to sectarianism after all.

Of course it was. Ever played the infamous game "World War 2.5" published before the mess started? Here, good luck. And the author even assumed that Saddam did have "Weapons of Mass Destruction".

So if Obama and Clinton continue two wars it's murder.
But starting the wars, killing hundreds of thousands of locals and thousands of your soldiers is ok?
