Hillary Clinton is Done: part 2

Nope. I've just been scrolling past him l8tly.

Anyway, that settles that.

ETA: Or does it? Say a paid advocate tweets as CTR. So far, so good. We know that CTR is a paid advocacy Twitter feed. Ideally, Hillary's voluntary supporters will subscribe to the feed and retweet its content. But what about a paid advocate who retweets the content on their own twitter account, without disclosing that they are a paid advocate (possibly even the same advocate who just got paid for creating the CTR content they're retweeting)? Is that shilling? I think it is.

Well, then the ball's back in the right side of the court. You go find evidence of those shills. The paranoid folks over at Reddit haven't located any. l8Elvis provided you with 8000 accredited Tweets. No one making this "well, it just seems to me" accusation has proved a single one.

I suppose "establishment figure" depends a little on what establishment or part of it you mean. Trump is, at least according to himself, a businessman and a property owner and a media figure, and now he's managed to become the candidate of an established political party. If he's not an establishment figure he's certainly working hard to be. He's sure as hell not Jerry Garcia.

In what way isn't he an establishment figure?

well, then, that creates the question of just what you mean by "establishment figure." I suspect most of it are using it relation to the Republican Party Establishment, but you appear to be using it in some other sense that is so broad as to be meaningless.

I have to wonder, if one of the Koch brother ran for office would that be considered a non-establishment candidate, too?

If they said the money was used for paid trolling that would help. It didn't

A better comparison would be voter fraud. Your evidence points to conspiracy, but no evidence it occured.

"Correct The Record" says they addressed 5000 thousand individuals who attacked Hillary via Twitter, but they didn't say they used Twitter to address these individuals.

"The task force currently combats online political harassment, having already addressed more than 5,000 individuals who have personally attacked Secretary Clinton on Twitter."

Are we talking about whether or not there are large amounts of people on Twitter and Facebook "shilling" for Hilliary, and getting paid for it?

Seems a bit silly and CT-ish.

Please try to follow. We all know what Correct The Record said. A poster linked above to 8000 CtR tweets. That'd seem to be more than 5000, so they've been kinda active since this subject came up.

Several conspiracy-minded posters have claimed that the CtR statement is saying that they will have non-accredited "shills" out there trolling the webs and "astroturfing" the topics. They have said no such thing, but in the interests of fairness those of us who wish to say, "Ha ha you're full of crap!" have restrained ourselves and are giving those persons, now including yourself, fair access to prove your suspicions. "It just seems to me...." is not proof.

Like I said.... the ball's in your court. You guys may want to have a little meeting and divvy up the WWW. It's not that big and all you have to find is a couple of dozen posts that fit the bill. (I'm giving y'all a pass on the secondary accusation - that there are paid Shillaries on this board, disrupting things for a fee.)

are Shillaries still sticking up for the reprehensible Super Pac activities of Correct the Record?

Fact, Hillary and her cronies are exploiting Citizens United while at the same time claiming they are against it. liars

Fact, Correct the Record has been caught red handed ghost writing editorials without attribution.

and people are asking us to find the paid trolls that are repeating Correct the Record propaganda without attribution? How silly.

But gosh, why should an HDS sufferer support their own accusations with evidence? Especially when they can just assert that there are paid trolls whilly nilly. It's not like this is a skeptic's forum, where we routinely point out who has the burden of proof!

This isn't about sticking up for anybody. It is about what is acceptable behavior on a skeptics forum.

I'm not even a Democrat. I'm a libertarian. I hate all the Democratic and Republican candidates. But I will not stand for this naked speculation.

It depends. Would he be running with the support of the party leadership and the endorsement of leading party figures?

How many? And when?

Trump has lots of endorsements from leading party figures. Does he need them all to endorse him before the convention to be the establishment figure?

I predict that after the convention at least 90% of the GOP establishment will be supporting the nominee. Is that enough?

Thanks for the summary, but to be honest I don't care who is trashing Hillary or how much they are doing it, and I really don't care if Super Pacs are paying people to "correct" Bernie supporters. If people are paid to post here I wouldn't care about that either.

What I find fascinating is the demand for "proof" when they readily acknowledge what they did and how much it cost. If someone thinks they are lying for some reason, it should be up to them to prove it instead of attempting to shift the burden. That is the sole reason I have any interest in this.

Your position on this is based on a total misreading of the press release. It doesnt say anything that can easily be read as astroturfing. To the extent this side had to offer evidence, which is zero, a link to their Twitter account demonstrates them "correcting" many people on Twitter. That is an extremely simple activity that matches their described efforts in the press release.

Looks like we'll have to go rummaging through trash cans for paycheck stubs if we want to find any actual acceptable "proof" of this alleged activity.

Yes, that is one method. It is often used by people who actually have to make evidence based claims: journalists and law enforcement.

There's your mistake.
I don't mean to read too much into your comment but ... shortcomings notwithstanding, this is ostensibly a forum for skeptics, and Politics is a department within said forum, and we should all strive to apply skepticism throughout the forum. I'm not a fan of the seemingly popular concept that skepticism doesn't apply to politics.

won't stand for it? Well you appear that you will stand for Hillary's hypocritical use of Citizen United.
