Hillary Clinton has sunk to a new low.

This strikes me as an act of desperation. I'm firmly convinced now that Clinton's campaign has tanked. Are there really undecided Democratic votes to be picked up among the 700 Club's audience?

Whatever else I'd say about Clinton, she's very smart and I find it hard to believe she doesn't see through the cynicism and hucksterism of Pat Robertson's organization. In retrospect, she's a perfect fit for the show- but I was surprised all the same that she's taken her message there.

She's not wearing nearly enough Aqua Net™ and eye liner to win votes over there.

She is being misguided by her campaign people, who are completely in disarray, two opposing camps offering two messages. For now the "attack dog" side seems to have won.

TAM:)

This is stupid. The 700 club audience is the hardcore religous right,an audience she will NEVER win over.
To appeal to more moderate evangelicals is one think,to try to win over the Hardcore Huckabee fans is dumb.
If this did not hurt her with her core audience, I would say although useless it might be worth a hour's time, but the damage this will do with her credibility among a lot of Democrats make it stupid.
I used to think that, whatever her faults, Hilary was a smart politician. The past two weeks have proven me wrong.

Actually, Robertson didn't back Huckabee; he endorsed Giuliani, believe it or not.

Maybe we'll get lucky, and he'll endorse Hillary Clinton next. :D

I'm following all this from several time zones away, but I have to say this: 6 months ago, I would've signed this statement without hesitation. But the way she's conducted her primary campaign, I'm starting to have my doubts.

I'm taken to task for being too nice to Hillary Clinton! I think this is a forum first for me. :D

Maybe I'm feeling a little more generous because I'm so certain that she'll lose.

I knew that and went WTF when Robertson endorsed Giuliani, but I am betting that most of Robertson viewers voted for Huckabee anyway.

Perhaps she is book-smart and people-dumb.

The only way this makes sense is that right now, she has nothing to lose, so she needs a game-changer. Maybe 700 club viewers aren't as monolithic as the CW would have it. If she was leading, I don't think she would try this.

Hmmm, I admit I am probably leaning towards Hillary in the primary coming up but this move makes me reconsider a bit. The 700 Club!??!??! And I say that as a Christian!

Not if you go to the wrong church you aren't.

Pat Robertson said:
You say you're supposed to be nice to the Episcopalians and the Presbyterians and the Methodists and this, that, and the other thing. Nonsense. I don't have to be nice to the spirit of the Antichrist.

Whewh! Good thing my denomination was not listed as Anti-Christ by Robertson. That was a close one. I don't know how I could live with myself knowing I had earned Robertson's scorn.
