High Speed Train Derails in Spain

The central command told the second train to proceed. It's not yet known why and everything would have been ok otherwise.
The way I understand the current reporting, both trains were told to proceed, then the crew of the train in front reported they couldn't start their train, and, apparently due to the command central being in chaos, the train that was now on a collision course with the train in front of it wasn't stopped. Tragic either way.

Think about it.
I did. I originally was going to say, "full of Kiwi fruits", for a California-is-gay joke, but it seemed a bit too much of a stretch, for a bit too little comedy. So I dialed it back to something that was merely nonsensical. That's probably far more thought than it needed, but I guess I failed you. I apologize.

From what I can work out from the latest updates. Both trains were told to proceed. I assume they would have left the area where the signals had failed. The train in front form some reason couldn't proceed, though. They tried to radio the central control but their radio wasn't able to get the message through.
