What the hell?

Good morning, Anita Hill, it's Ginny Thomas,I just wanted to reach across the airwaves and the years and ask you to consider something. I would love you to consider an apology sometime and some full explanation of why you did what you did with my husband. So give it some thought and certainly pray about this and come to understand why you did what you did. Okay have a good day.

Has Tea Party Nation really and truly lost its collective mind?

Well yes, yes they have, and the Liberty Central founder seems to be leading the way.

TAM:)

Thomas emailed him, saying: “I did place a call to Ms. Hill at her office extending an olive branch to her after all these years, in hopes that we could ultimately get passed what happened so long ago. That offer still stands, I would be very happy to meet and talk with her if she would be willing to do the same. Certainly no offense was ever intended.”
That's an "olive branch"? Asking Hill if she'd like to apologize?
Hill tells ABC News: “Even if it wasn’t a prank, it was in no way conciliatory for her to begin with the presumption that I did something wrong in 1991. I simply testified to the truth of my experience. For her to say otherwise is not extending an olive branch, it’s accusatory.”

She continues: “I don’t apologize. I have no intention of apologizing and I stand by my testimony in 1991.”

Well, the only thing to do is to invite Anita Hill come on all the talk shows and rehash the whole controversy again.

Ginny Thomas kind of reminds me of Mary Jo Buttafuoco -- denying the obvious to all the world. Stockholm Syndrome?

Never have I seen so many people go so utterly bat crap crazy after getting trounced in an election.

Mark Twain once said: "Sometimes I wonder whether the world is being run by smart people who are putting us on or by imbeciles who really mean it."

After running the two most whacked-out candidates for POTUS and VP that I have seen from a major party in my life time, the GOP has decided that they were too reserved in the last election cycle.

Thus Steele and Angle and Paladino, and they still think Ms Moosemeat has a shot at becoming POTUS.

I wish they were putting us on.

I think she should apologize, she made claims that she could never prove.

Meh. It was a she said/he said.

The dimwit never did anything that would lead me me to take his side since joining the high court.

That his wife is so low class just leads more credence to Ms Hill's remarks.

Yes, I think it's ridiculous that Mrs Thomas phoned Anita Hill. The idea that Anita would ever apologize for her lies is absurd.

Even if you foolishly believe Thomas over Hill, the idea that his wife called her on the phone demanding an apology twenty years later - while describing herself as offering an "olive branch" - doesn't strike you a deranged?

My guess is that Ginny Thomas has some new book coming out (which will be published just in time for Christmas), or she has some new TV show coming out. In either case, I would say that Thomas speaking about the matter now, is trying to draw some public attention to herself.

After all, these kinds of publicity stunts work pretty good for Palin and Gingrich, so why not Thomas as well?

I've seen this theory. It says that by accosting Dr. Hill, it gets out into the news, which then causes Ginny to whine about the "lamestream media" attacking her, which then gets picked up by Rush and Fox, which would draw donations to her PAC (from which she draws a very generous salary).

Could be. I think at their heart the Teabaggers like Palin and Beck and Rush are just grifters. Personally, I vote for drinking and dialing.
