I'm getting really tired of hearing about stuff like this. It also makes me concerned over my future employment situations. I mean, if some drudge in HR manages to find the amateur stuff I did in my 20's, am I gonna get fired over it? Bleh...

I hope your reason isn't the same as mine. The 'senior moments' are starting to come closer together, and for some reason stuff that happened in the '60s is sometimes easier to remember than what I did last week.

Well, yes. As we've seen from other threads though, the problem isn't just the person who found it. The problem is who that person tells, and the spin they put on it.

I mean, I've had ultra Xian bosses before who, if they were told that one of their employees had done porn of any sort, would have taken that accusation at it's word, not asked how the information was obtained, and been upset enough to consider firing the person being accused. Even if that porn was done 15 years before even considering working for their current employer.

It's just stupid all around, honestly. What a person does in their own time is their own business, not anyone else's.
 
The best possible outcome I could imagine from this: it generates enough publicity for her novels that she can become a full-time author, and ditch the day job teaching the children of tiny-brained mouth-breathers.
 
They don't want to show up for the Parent-Teacher Conferences, but they have no problem dictating what kind of role model you're required to be to teach the little Indigo Starchildren of the Corn.
