UNIVERSITY researchers claim to have found a possible cure for lung cancer using traditional Chinese medicine.

A Sydney lung cancer sufferer used herbal medicine exclusively to cure her of the disease, Chinese medicine researchers heard today.
...
He said researchers hoped her case would bring them closer to understanding how herbal medicine could assist in the treatment of lung cancer.
That's right, it's a report based on ONE SINGLE PATIENT!

dont you hate when the "average citizen" is "given a voice"?
No, but I hate when studies on medical science are not carried our or reported in a responsible manner. If they expect to be taken seriously, they should look into doing controlled studies. If relevant, those studies should be double blinded.

I also hate when jack*sses post irrelevant tripe on topics they don't understand.

I have seen worse (there was no effect but we think there would heve been one if we had contiued the study) but not many. Ao the other hand it is posible for chinese herbal remidies to have an effect but the study would have to be much large to be of the slightest use.

if they were scientists, they wouldnt do a research based on one specimen and claim to have a "thrilling result"

I also hate when jack*sses post irrelevant tripe on topics they don't understand.
