I was hoping one of you lovely JREF Linux geeks could help me out.

I've been trying to get Wine running on my openSUSE system but the resolution of the configuration window is so poor I can't make head nor tail of it (see Imagehost pic). :(

Any ideas would be most gratefully received.

Eiswein or a Trochenbeerenauslese is definitely best when computing!! Or anything else.

You probably are not being ignored, but I suspect most assume you are asking about the other kind. Might want to redo(make another) thread with more specific phrasing.

Thanks Fuelair. I think I've fixed it. Well actually I've taken the Linux way out and ignored the fact that Microsoft exist and found an open source alternative. :D

Wish I could help. That is a pretty lousy display there.

I haven't played with Linux or WINE in several years, and I'm not sure I every tried SUSE, though I'm sure it's not too different from Red Hat or some of the other flavors I've tried in the past.

Have you tried to see if there is a command line setup you can do? Or a setup file you can edit as a text file?

I'm sure someone that actually knows something (unlike me) will show up before long :)

I suspect this may have to go on the back burner for a while tbh.

My MSci thesis is due in a month and the last thing I need is more excuses for procrastinating. :)
