You know, I've seen this reposted before, as if it was clever satire. It's mind-boggling to me that anybody could think it's intelligent in any way. 98% of health care decisions are perfectly amenable to free market forces. The only problem right now is the lack of price transparency.

Its not important because now people can't afford the insurance premium. On the other hand the slackers are having theirs paid for.

  • The only difference is it cost more, my premium doubled when insurance companies were forced to pay for the slackers, and kids/adults/loser's on their parents plan till 27.

    Nothing about tort reform though.

First we were cancelled, to re-up, ours went from 636.00 to 1213.00

Many business owners that I do business with had the same experience. I don't expect you libs to be part of that as many of you don't own your own business.

I had read that some companies, for some clients whose plans were quite profitable but no longer qualified, canceled them and intentionally sent out a significantly higher plan. They figured many would simply pay, thus maintaining a profitable client, and if not then they are pushed into the exchanges.

I have not verified this. logger, did you check the exchanges?

Do you understand how Obamacare works and why it delivers anti-market driven coverage?

It subsidizes the old and the sick and the poor. It forces users to purchase unecessary coverage and it mandates prices.

All these price controls will fail in a free market, Obamacare will fail.

But Gruber is so smart! If we give all the control to people like him they will deliver utopia and give us health care for free!!!!

Obamacare is a Republican idea. It's based on a market driven solution as opposed to Single Payer. I would have preferred a single payer model, however, your claims that the sky will fall are not evidenced in reality.

Single Payer would, or should spur jobs. Mainly in small business.

It's not an ideology. I'm curious, if you found out that lots of children who have never had health insurance are now getting check ups and preventive medicine would that change your mind?

Yes, I concede this is one of those "think of the children" arguments but this is one time I think it is appropriate. Why should children suffer poor health when they can do nothing about it? We pool our resources to pay for the military. Why can we not pool resources to ensure that all Americans are healthy?

Most importantly, why is it that nations that provide public health care have the best economic and health outcomes?
