They were subjected to a technology that was so extreme and incomprehensible that they were suddenly reduced to the level of compliant children and felt grateful to still be alive in the wake of their mind-wrenching experience.

This technology is about to be used, albeit in a more subtle fashion, against American citizens in a highly classified and covert operation to mind control and manipulate the entire population into 'compliance' with our New World order overlords. The technology will utilize a combination of HAARP transmitters, GWEN towers, microwave cell phone towers, and the soon-to-be-mandatory High Definition DIGITAL TV that will enter your home via A) Cable, B) Satellite, C) HD TVs, or D) those oh-so-easy -to-obtain "Digital Converter boxes" that the government is so anxious to help you obtain and underwrite most of the cost on your behalf.

I admit that after we got a flatscreen HDTV, I felt a compulsion to buy Comcast's NHL package. There was no mind control involved, though.

Someone should plant the idea with these kooks that they're using the same technology on the DIGITAL internet. That'd be good for a laugh.

BBC continues to advise digital tv viewers to push red. Why push red? What happens to the viewers when they push red?

Digital televisions are the mark of the beast. Those folks who choose to keep their old tvs will soon be FORCED to buy a digital converter!!

This is just the beginning!!

I've tackled this one several times, and I'm just worn the hell out now. I have so much work to do preparing for the actual transition (I work at a TV station in the process of incrementally upgrading to ATSC) that I can't bear to explain to anyone why it's not a malevolent thing.

I've actually had calls forwarded back to Master Control dealing with this, and my patience is wearing thin. I just forward them on to the national DTV information number, and go about my shift in relative peace.

Buzzt, wrong.

The author demostrates his lack of any technical understanding of the subject.

Although the change will involve all stations that broadcast over the air to do so in digital format they need not be HD.

HDTV is digital but not all digital TV is HDTV

Furthermore cable companies will continue to offer old analog on their systems for some time yet and their customers will not be required to change to a converter box unless they want those channels that are only offered in digital format. Once again though most channels are still in SD (standard definition) even if they are transmitted digitally.

On the other hand, I am the broadcast tech at a small TV station but I am in Canada and will not have to worry about this until 2011. I get to take care of the whole shebang from edit suite to master control as well as the transmitter and the digital transport to cable and satellite carriers.

well i think thats what he means by cable/satellite

however his HDTV option is redundant, as they still require cable or satellite (or most have a built-in digital receiver, same as those converter boxes) and most or all SDTVs produced recently have built in converters as well (mine does)

I wonder why the CT flock never said anything when NTSC was made manditory?

Maybe the NTSC mind control signal was more effective than HDTV.

Well, you see, back then Majestic-12 used MKULTRA mind control stuff in the unused video scanlines where closed captioning information goes in order to suppress anyone from figuring out the truth...

...and stuff.
