Having children in today's society

Sure, but I don't actually think that's as much of a problem as some people imagine it to be.

Sure. I think it's overrated by some and underrated by others.

In the current world it could actually be solved by immigration, but the Japanese aren't very likely to go that route.

?

I'll stick with sending them birthday cards and being a good son. My Dad is bummed that the family name will end with me, but too bad. Sister isn't having any either.

I saw a sticker on a SUV a few months ago..."Extreme Financial Burden On Board". No thanks!

I appreciate people that know they should not have kids and stick to that decision. If Butter! is one of them then good. I wish there were more people out there that could control their selfish desire to have kids when they should not.
How many grandparents end up taking care of the kids because the parents are losers, or otherwise unfit?

What exactly do you mean by this? It seems you mean that only “winners” should have children and “losers” not. How exactly would this work?

I think he means you shouldn't have kids if you can't take care of them, or if you're likely to **** them up because you don't have good control over your own emotions and problems (like in my case).

**** happens sometimes, obviously, and a parent might not be able to handle everything and may require some help. Nothing wrong with that. But there are lots of people who literally dump their kids on their own parents and then just keep living their lives, don't attempt to fix their problems, get off substances, etc. It's not all that over-the-top judgmental to say such people might want to get their **** together for the sake of their kids.

He was saying they're losers because they don't even attempt to take care of their kids, not for any other reason.

How many people on Earth completely thought out the ramifications, and planned out (financially, emotionally, spiritually, physically, etc.) the effects of having children on themselves, and on the children as well as the effects on society and by society?

How many people on Earth, tried real hard to be careful "not" to have children, until the "right time", used contraceptives, followed advice, but got hot and horny and the result was a family?

The majority of people I have known growing up.
