Have These Points Been Debunked Yet?

5. 9/11 as an excuse for war. The CTers say that Bush & Co. needed something as awful 9/11 to get the country behind a war because just finding WMDs in Iraq wouldn’t be enough. Yeah, there turned out to be no WMDs in Iraq but today we know for certain that North Korea is very close to building a nuclear weapon and Iraq is on the same path. And what has the U.S. done about it? Nothing. [/font]

This perhaps the easiest one to debunk. The US governments in history have never had trouble finding ways to get wars started or getting involved in wars. None of which required them to kill large numbers of their own people to achieve it

Why start now?

Good point. And, to add to it, why wouldn't the government actually link the attacks to Iraq and Afghanistan, rather than Saudi Arabia, where all* of the hijackers came from?

*Did they all come from Saudi Arabia? Correct me if I'm wrong.

Not all of them, but most (15 out of 19).

United Airlines Flight 175: Marwan al-Shehhi (from the United Arab Emirates), Fayez Banihammad (from the United Arab Emirates), Mohand al-Shehri (Saudi Arabian), Hamza al-Ghamdi (Saudi Arabian), Ahmed al-Ghamdi (Saudi Arabian). They were the only people with Arabic names on the flight.

American Airlines Flight 11: Mohamed Atta al Sayed (Egyptian), Waleed al-Shehri (Saudi Arabian), Wail al-Shehri (Saudi Arabian), Abdulaziz al-Omari (Saudi Arabian), Satam al-Suqami (Saudi Arabian). There was only one other passenger with an arabic name who was ruled out as having any role.

United Airlines Flight 93: Ziad Jarrah (Lebanese), Ahmed al-Haznawi (Saudi Arabian), Ahmed al-Nami (Saudi Arabian), Saeed al-Ghamdi (Saudi Arabian). They were the only people with Arabic names on the flight.

American Airlines Flight 77: Hani Hanjour (Saudi Arabian), Khalid al-Mihdhar (Saudi Arabian), Majed Moqed (Saudi Arabian), Nawaf al-Hazmi (Saudi Arabian), Salem al-Hazmi (Saudi Arabian). There was one other passenger with an Arabic name who was ruled out as having any role.

It is the height of "post hoc" reasoning to think that things that happened after 9/11 were the things the administration wanted to happen after 9/11.

I agree that I'm "Monday morning quarterbacking" here and the administration might have reacted differently today in regard to North Korea and Iran if 9/11 hadn't happened. Regardless, currently, in 2007 an "enemy" nation possessing WMDs isn't enough reason for the United States to go to war with that country.

You're right, I do remember that from the movie. But DNA can't be detected from shaved hair.

Shaving with a multiblade razor removes skin cells as well as hair (as you can discover for yourself by shaving with a mach 3 and then going for a run).

Hehehe....I'm a woman but thanks for the information. :) Back to the original question. Was the FBI able to locate and search any hotel rooms before the rooms were cleaned and had a new occupants?

I don't believe you - I'm going to have a shave now. . .

:yikes:

Ok, I'm convinced
