Population of the United States in 2006: 265 million
Population of non-violent drug offenders arrested in 2006, according to
this website: 1.6 million (rounded up). This is about .6% of all people in the U.S.
I can safely assume that the number of woman is about half the population in total in the United States, give or take. That is about 132.5 million people in 2006. This is about 50% of all people in the U.S., and is greater than 1.6 million by a magnitude of 83 times.
Today, there would be more women, even if there were more people in jail for non-violent drug abuse.
If Ron Paul is restricting the rights of women while also freeing non-violent drug offenders, the net effect is not all that good. He's catering to about .6% of America, and then furthermore restricts the rights of around 50% of America.
Unless, of course, he's not quite as misogynistic as you are, which would be a great relief.
Furthermore, if he is willing to end abortions altogether, I see no reason to assume that he won't get extremist when it comes to the Morning After Pill -- which is, after all, considered by some pro-life proponents to be a process of abortion as it can possibly prevent post-fertilization of a blastocyst; these proponents usually believe that, say, pregnancy begins at fertilization -- one of the farthest ends of anti-abortion nuts.
