I don't celebrate the religious Christmas, but I like the Hollywood, Miracle on 34th Street Christmas. I like the idea of Christmas with all its commercialism, hypocracy and other short comings.
While I don't believe in Jesus, I like the Jesus Christmas stories. Little Drummer Boy is great. I miss the Bob Hope and Andy Williams Christmas specials.
Most people seem to be in a better mood. I don't care if it's just for show.
I don't get bent out of shape whether someone says Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah or Happy Festivus. I say Merry Christmas almost all the time. I consider it just a salutation. To me it's like "Have a nice day." Whether or not you do have a nice day, I really don't care, but it'd be good if you did.
I have no qualms about enjoying myself at Christmastime and if someone else prefers not partake that's their decision but I'll most likely still say Merry Christmas.
