Hans Blix blows it again

Hans Blix, the head weapons inspector for the UN, is now on record as stating that Iraq has not used any missles that were outlawed under the UN resolution.

Two missles have been recorded that have flown over the 150 Km limit posed by the UN resolution: another was shot down at 141 Km and probably would have gone over the 150 Km limit had it not been destroyed.

I'm wondering if his inspoections were every bit as thorough as his comments?

Hans Blix wasn't qualified to be Chief Weapons Inspector for the Iraqi mission. He was the 25th pick on the list of potential chiefs for that job and the whole selection process was rigged from the start. The 24 folks passed by to get to him proves the sheer level of corruption in the UN. It is UN-American.

Do you have a source for this? Because Maj. Gen. Stanley A. McChrystal says there is no evidence of Iraq using restricted weapons.

The al-Samoud missiles, that Iraq was in the process of destroying when the war broke out, have a range that exceeds the 150 km limit by 10-20 km. I think there were about 50 al-Samouds left when the war broke put.
But so far no longer range missiles (like Scuds) have been used by Iraq.

I wouldn't have wanted Blix's job.

I'm not sure he wanted it at the end either.

Knowing that the way you phrase a report is as likely to lead to a conflict as the contents itself is a bit of a responsibility.
